Chapter 16 : Dodgeball

After Amaya and I finished our warm up the gym teacher told us that we were not going to play basketball today . She said that we were going to play dodgeball . Amaya and I were really good at dodgeball when were little . We both looked at each other winked . We then turn back around and the teacher started organizing us into teams . " You are on team 1 . " The teacher told . I ran over to the side team one was and looked at Amaya . I heard the teacher say from a distance " You are on team 1 . "

Amaya quickly stood up and sprinted over to me . " Yay ! We are on the same team ! " She screamed . " I can't wait ! " I said . I looked at the other team and saw Mika . " Hey look . " I said as I tapped on Amaya's shoulder . " What . " Amaya asked as she turned . " Look , Mika is on the other team . " I told as I pointed at Mika . " We should attack her . " I said . " Are your really sure ? I mean , I know that we don't like her but do you think it's kinda necessary to just attack for no reason . " Amaya asked . " But she's been... huh... that would be really mean... but if she purposely tries to hit us , then we are going to target her , okay ? " I questioned . " That seems fair . " Amaya agreed .

The gym teach blew his whistle to get our attention " Go ! " He yelled and then he blew the whistle again . Dodgeballs were soaring high above our heads . Amaya and I dodged the balls like they were nothing . Amaya and I picked up a ball . We loved this game so much . We started throwing the balls at people and it kept on hitting them . " 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 people I've hit so far ! " I said in my head . I had already gotten 6 people out in 30 seconds . Crazy . Amaya was doing really well too .

A lot of balls were heading towards us . I tried to see who was throwing the balls at us . It was Mika . She gave me a little evil smirk . " Amaya , Mika is trying to hit us ! " I called out . " I'm coming , I'm coming . " She told . " Do you have a ball I could use ? " Amaya asked . I had 2 balls in my hand . " Yeah . " I said . I took one of the balls and tossed it to her . We looked at each other and gave each other a evil little wink and grin . We had the ball in our hands and we threw the balls . Both of our dodgeballs soared across the gym and they both hit Mika on the shoulder . " Ah ! " She screamed . She then sashayed over to the out bench . She looked like an idiot . " Nice ! " I cheered .

Gym was actually fun for once . Amaya and I had fun hitting Mika with our dodgeballs . We were so cheerful . We were cheerful until we had to go back into the locker room to change . " Aw... I still want to play . " I told Amaya as I growled and crossed my arms . " Come on , look at the bright side , we hit Mika with the dodgeballs several times . " Amaya pointed out . " Your right . That was really fun . " I agreed . Amaya and I walked to he lockers that we had our clothes in and started changing . While we changed out of our school gym clothes and into our school uniform , I saw Mika looking at me again . Why was she staring at me ? Did she really have a crush on me ? No . No . There was no possible way she could like me . She hated me and I hated her . When Amaya and I finished changing we walked out of the locker room and waited for the bell to ring .

" I can't wait to talk to you later in lunch . You will be able to see Saori again ! Amaya told . Saori was one of my friends from my childhood . I met her on the same day I met Amaya . Saori had to move to Kyoto . I didn't know why though . " Really ?!?!? I really missed them . I can't wait to see them ! " I said with excitement . I couldn't wait to see them again . All of a sudden the bell rung and I started walking to my next set . " I'll see you at lunch ! " I shouted out to Amaya . " I'll see you there too ! Bye ! " She responded back . " Bye ! " I replied back .
