A New Beginning

Chapter 17 : The Group of 8

My next set 5 . I was so excited to see my friends during lunch . I had to go to science for 5th set . I walked towards the classroom and went inside .

I looked over at a counter with worksheets . I had to take one . I grabbed the worksheet I took my seat . My seat was next to the old tinted window . I stared out the window looking at the abandoned house . I also liked to stare at the birds flying by . They were very colorful . Cardinals flew by most of the time . The teacher constantly snapped her fingers at me . " Asuka ! " She shouted . " Uh , yes Ms. Ayano ? " I asked as I jumped a bit . " Pay attention ! " She said . " Uh , yes Ms. Ayano . " I replied back . She then gave me a glare and turned back around . She started drawing on the chalkboard and started blabbering again . All I heard from her mouth was " Blah blah blah . "

I was so bored . I took my pencil and a piece of paper and started drawing . I sat there staring at the blank paper thinking about what I could draw until an idea popped into my head . I decided to start drawing me with a sword in my hand . I drew my head first and all the details started showing up . This was a really good drawing . It had lots of detail and I really liked it . It only toke me 10 minutes to complete it . When I put my pencil down , I started examining my picture but then the teacher said " It's time for lunch . "

I grabbed my lunch bag and ran out of the room . I sprinted towards the lunch room and sat at the table I sat at last time . I looked around the lunch room trying to spot out Amaya and Saori . I looked around the lunch room for at least 2 minutes just trying to search for them until I saw them walking in . I waved at them and they waved back . The two of them sat down next to me .

" Hey ! It's been SO long since I've seen you ! " Saori told as she hugged me . " I've missed you so much ! " I said . Amaya gave me a poor innocent look . " You too Amaya . " I said . We all started laughing . " Man , I can't believe that this is really happening . I can't believe that you are actually here ! " She said . " And I can't believe I'm with both of you guys ! " I responded back .

All of sudden a group of people came up to us . They were familiar to me . It was the group that always looked like they had the best relationship with each other in the world . " Hello . We were wondering if we could sit here with you guys , if that's okay... " A girl with pink hair asked shyly . There were a lot of people in the group . " Sure ! Why not ! " I responded back politely . " Thank you . " A girl with dark purple , pinkish hair replied . The whole group sat down at a chair .

Silence . There was silence . During class they were crazy . But for some odd reason they were dead silent . We awkwardly stared at each other and looked around the cafeteria until somebody finally spoke . " What happened to your eye ? " A boy with white hair asked . " It's kinda a long story . " I said . " Somebody punch you ? " He questioned . For some reason , I didn't want to tell the truth . " No . I guess you could say I fell down on my eye . " I replied back . All of a sudden a question popped up in my head . " Hey , how come you guys have actually been treating me like a normal person ? I mean , I'm a Zuneko . " I asked . " Ibaraki is half Zuneko so we are used to it . We don't think it's weird to be a Zuneko . " A girl with orange hair told . " Well that's good . I was looking for somebody I could actually related too . " I spoke . " Well , now I can finally relate with somebody too ! " Ibaraki cheered . " What are all your names ? " Saori questioned . Well I am Miroku , this is Kaguya , this is Amaterasu , this is Lady Shizuka , and this is Momotarou , this is Yoshitsune , this is Ibaraki , and this is Susanoo . " Miroku told while pointing . " Well it's very nice to meet you all . I am Saori , this is Amaya , and this is Asuka . " She said and pointed at us . Asuka is new here . Amaya and I have been friends with her ever since we were kids . " She spoke .

After that conversation , we all started talking and laughing . It was so much fun . I almost spit out my food at one point . We were having so much fun until we had to leave . " Ah no ! " Amaya and Saori said at the same time . " I don't want you guys to leave . " I told them . " We will see each other again Susanoo said . " Bye ! " Amaya , Saori , and I shouted at the group of 8 . " Bye ! " They all shouted back . " I gotta go back to class guys . Bye . " I told Saori and Amaya . " Okay bye . " Saori said . " See you later Asuka . " Amaya spoke . We then walked away for eachother and I walked back into the classroom .
