A New Beginning

Chapter 14 : An Old Friend

I climbed out of bed and stepped down the steps of the staircase . I walked into the kitchen . I searched through the cabinets and found some food . I guess my father had bought some food . Then I remembered something . Where was my mom . Was she home ? I ran up the stairs and quietly ran down the hallway to my parents room . I opened the door just a little to see my parent's bed . I saw my dad but not my mom . Where the hell was she ? I was starting to get anxious and I was scared for her . Where was she ? What happened to her ? Is she okay ? So many questions swirled around inside of my head and started to make me feel kinda stressed out .

I walked back downstairs and went back into the kitchen . I took some cereal from the cabinet and grabbed a bowl . I then put the cereal in my bowl and poured in some milk . I then put the cereal and milk away and grabbed a spoon . I took my cereal and sat down at the kitchen table . I couldn't stop thinking about where my mother was now that she still wasn't home .

40 minutes later , it was 6:45 am so I grabbed my stuff and started heading out into the cold . When I closed the door behind me , an icy chill blew by . I was freezing . When I started walking on my way to school , I plugged in my earbuds and started listening to Babymetal . I was listening to Rondo of Nightmare . It was such a sad sounding metal song but it was so pretty . The only singer that was singing the song was Su-Metal . It made me depressed . It was still a pretty song though .

As I walked up to the school , my cat senses went off . I looked at the corner of the building and I saw a white thing hide behind the corner . I saw that in the corner of my eye . It then was gone . I turned around and walked into the school . I walked towards the wall that I leaned against while waiting to go to my locker yesterday . I waited for the student conciliar to tell all the students when they could go . I wanted to go home . I didn't want to do any work . I wanted to go home .

When the student council teacher said that we could go , I got up from the wall and made my way towards my locker . As I walked towards my locker I was shoved . A playful shove . I turned around to see who it was . " Its probably that bitch again . " I said inside my head . It wasn't that girl . It was Amaya Suzuki . Amaya was my best friend until she had to move to Kyoto . I forgot that she moved here . Her sister was Naomi . Amaya had to move away from Naomi for some odd reason . But I had been friends with Amaya for exactly as long I had been friend with my friends back in Tokyo . We have all known each other ever since I was 5 . " AMAYA ! " I shouted with excitement . I then hugged her tightly . " Uh... Hey Asu-ow... " Amaya said . I realized that I had hugged her to tightly . " Sorry about that Amaya . How are you doing ? " I asked . " Great ! But the better question is why are you here ? " She questioned me . " I had to move to Kyoto . My dad got a new business here so we had to move here . " Do you like this place ? I like Kyoto . " Amaya asked . " Ehh , I guess so but not a lot . " I responded . " What lunch do you have and what cafeteria do you eat in ? " Amaya questioned me . " I have middle lunch and I eat in the big cafeteria . " I replied . " I have middle lunch and I eat in there too ! Maybe we could eat lunch together ! " Amaya squealed . " I would love to ! Can't wait . I have to go to my locker . See you later ! " I said . " See you later Asuka ! " She said . We waved each other goodbye and I went to my locker . I got my stuff for Social Studies and I walked into the classroom...
