Nami raised her head from the table shortly after the noise of battle started. "So that's what D ment by don't trust everything you see." She looked around the room at the rest of the crew. Luffy was passed out, his stomach bulging. Ussop and Sanji had clearly drank more than they could handle. Wait! Tranquility sat a few tables away from Sanji sipping a drink, a passed out bounty hunter beside her.
"Tranquilty." She whispered as she made her way over to her. The woman ignored her and kept sipping her drink. Standing in front of her she waved her hand. "Tranquility." She reached out to touch her shoulder when her hand suddenly shot out towards her. Nami was barely able to dodge to the side.
"What are you-?!" Nami started to ask when she noticed that behind where she had been standing a male bounty hunter stood with a knife above his head. Tranquilty's pointer finger was poking his forehead. His eyes were rolled up into his sockets. He stood for a second longer before colapsing to the ground.
Tranquility turned to face her and asked. "How is my cold shoulder?"
Nami nearly fell over in surprise. She let out a sigh of relief. She wouldn't say it but she had though Tranquility had turned against her. "Fine. Just fine." she smiled. Then the sounds of gunshots could be heard bring her back to the task at hand. "Come with me." She grabbed the silly woman's hand and rushed over to where she had noticed a vault, one that looked about waist high and set into the wall, when someone had opened a side door earlier. As the hurried she noticed Tranquilty's drink didn't even sway with the movement.
"Have you ever picked a lock?" She ask Tranquility as she pulled out her tools and picks.
"What is a lock?" Tranquility seemed puzzled and Nami couldn't tell if she was being serious.
"This door is locked and we need to go through it." She explained as she started to put the picks into the keyhole. "Most doors are locked."
"Really?!" Tranquility reached out and twisted the doorknob before she could get the second pick in. To her surprise the door opened. "Are you sure it was locked?"
"I was pretty sure. Though not so much." Truth was she had seen the person lock it, or at least it looked like they had locked it. "Let's see if there's anything worth our time." She smiled.
Inside was several chests, that thankfully didn't have locks on them, as well as tons of empty storage bags. Nami quickly scanned the rest of the room and noticed a decent size vault off to the side as well as the vault she had noticed, which was along the wall opposite of the larger one. She decided she would save those for last when she had more time and moved to check the chests.
"Do you want me to look too?" Nami nodded her head as she slammed the second chest's lid shut, another empty one. Hopefully the last two would have something. "This is empty." Tranquilty's voice called from over by the smaller vault. Nami looked over to see her standing with the vault door wide open.
"How did you open that?!" Nami nearly screamed her question. "And don't tell me it was unlocked!"
"But it was." Tranquility mumbled as she pushed her aside to inspect the safe. She wiggled the handle but it wouldn't budge like it would if it was unlocked. Closing it proved it was still locked when she tried that.
"Show me how you opened it." Nami commanded. She watched closely as Tranquility reached out and opened the vault. Still empty, the thief side of her brain grumbled. But that wasn't important anymore. What was important was that the vault and dulled somehow when Tranquility touched the handle.
"Try this one." She drug Tranquility over to the larger vault. Tranquility grabbed the handle and the same thing happened. The color of the vault dulled, almost like it was muted. She opened it, empty.
