To Eat Or Not To Eat?

So first of I'm sorry it's took so long to get this chapter up. I was a bit stuck with where to send the story and then was under the weather. But it's up now so yay! Also I'd really appreciate if anyone who wants to show support for Devils Grin in the wattys (which I've entered) I'd really appreciate it if you go back through the story and vote for all the chapters. You don't have to vote for the followers appreciation if you don't want to. It also might give me more drive to write more chapters faster.

D cackled as the wind rushed past them on the the Knockup Stream. At first he had started laughing to relieve the pressure on his mind from sensing that power. But now? Now, he really felt something was off. Somewhere inside him a change was beginning.

"Release the sails!" Nami called out drawing him back from the spiraling of his mind. Like a life preservative he latched onto the sound of her voice. Vaguely he heard someone question her order but he couldn't focus on who. Something told him of he didn't focus on Nami's voice he'd lose control. And for some reason that was bad. "Just trust me!" She called out again.

He could feel the crew running around the deck with pieces of rope trailing behind them. Why they had rope trailing behind he he had no idea.

"Hold on D." Robin appeared beside him tying a rope to him as well. "You need to calm down." She took his face in her hands and began whispering something. He closed his eyes and let her voice wash over him. 'Nami's voice!' He couldn't lose focus!

"We're flying!?" Several people exclaimed together.

"Told you to trust me!" Nami called over the wind. 'Focus'

Between Robin's whispered words and Nami's voice his mind began to calm down enough for him to remember what was going on. "I told you to let his breath lift us up!" He shouted again before winking at Robin to let her know things were ok now.

"Thanks Coopy!" He called behind the Mary.

"D really lost his mind!" Chopper exclaimed. "Someone get a doctor!"

A strange booming sound similar to Laboon's call echoed beneath them surprising them all.

"I missed you too!" D responded to the sound. "I'll come visit you sometime with Cur!"

"Is there really a monster down there?" Ussop asked. "Where was it?"

"Answers later!" Nami called out. "We're about to hit the clouds!" She shouted as the underbelly of the cloud formation drew closer.

D grinned as the Mary began passing through the dark clouds into the whiter clouds. A new adventure was about to begin.

Meanwhile back on Jaya, Rose was thinking about her encounter the other day. Not only had she witnessed the craziest thing ever but none of her coworkers believed her. They even told her to keep crazy talk like that to herself. No one could beat the crap out of Bellamy and then erase everyone's memories. Not wanting to get killed by Bellamy or his crew she dropped the subject and went home.

Once home, things were just as weird. Upon walking in she found a crazy looking fruit, a gold colored ball, and a note. The note said, 'To eat or not to eat? That is the question.'. Upon further study the fruit was a greenish red color with a strange pattern of a tree all over it. The ball she couldn't move. She chose to ignore it and go to bed.

And the final act of craziness? The guy that Bellamy and his crew beat up came back to fight him. How exactly did that effect her? Her bedroom roof was ripped off in the battle. Guess that's what she gets for staying in the attic. Freaked out from having her sleep disturbed by a sudden battle happening on her roof she watched the battles end. And to her surprise right before the guy with a straw hat punched Bellamy time seemed to slow down. She could have sworn for a moment that she saw a weird tattoo on his right arm. It had the cross bones like most pirates. The weird part was that the skull was wearing a cloak and one of the eyes looked like it was glowing red.
