The Devil's Grin - A One Piece Fanfic (Snail-like Updates)

2 Year Celebration :'(

Hey everyone. It's been an awesome 2 years for Devil's Grin. In that time we have reached almost 30k views and over 2k votes. Sadly it doesn't feel like much of a celebration without D (may he rest in peace). We have roughly 3 more story arcs, not counting the one we're in now, from the original One Piece storyline left before we reach the climax of the first half of the Grande Line so I'm hoping by this time next year we're celebrating more awesome writing and that Devil's Grin is finished. This story will be my first finished work and I hope (really hope I'm not jumping the gun here because who knows how many more chapters we have to go) I can continue writing stories you will all be excited to read. Also, I honestly thought this would be longer, I finished it on the 19th of May (Devil's Grins birthday is the 20th for thosw who didn't piece it together), but with D gone it doesn't feel like much of a celebration. And none of the girls are feeling up to showing themselves. Eh, I guess Tempest would like to gloat but that seems like the wrong thing for today. Plus since D's departure (I can't bring myself to say the other d word) I have been receiving comments from new readers about how awesome the story is and how much they love D; and here I am staring at the comment crying and wanting to tell them "Don't go further! You can't handle the truth!" But then I'd ruin the story and the wonder for them. It's like telling kids that Santa and the Easter Bunny aren't real! People who do that are cruel! (I apologize to anyone who's world I just crushed. Don't worry. Lynching party is scheduled for the end of next month. See you there.) And now that I've been crying and ranting this part of the section has no point to it and now I'm just curious how many people read it and connect the dots and see that it's just rambles and now the sentence structure is being destroyed and I bet there are a few college students who are taking English classes and when they see this last sentence it'll make their eyes bleed and I dare someone to try to read this out loud without pausing or taking a breath and see how far into the sentence they get and now I really don't know what else to write so I'm just typing whatever pops in my head and blahblahblah blahbablah! Have fun and look to reward to the next chapter which should be out next week by Wednesday, hopefully.
