Robin sat within a nook of roots beneath the Ohara Archeology Institute studying the Poneglyph. D had been gone for about a day now but the time he had been there, she would never forget. Especially since he had promised to always be her friend. Suddenly she flinched as her left eye ached with a sharp pain. Covering her now closed eye she sighed as the pain, which had begun to burn, dulled. Sighing, she climbed out of her nook and made her way to the secret passage leading outside. It would be several hours at least before her eye was recovered enough to use again. As she exited into the bright light of day her eyes blinked quickly to allow them to become accostumed to the sudden change. A strange Mark she had become used to seeming outlined in everything she saw until her eyes were used to the sunlight. Just the thought of how she had received that Mark caused her left eye to sting again, this time a ghost of a memory.

"So this is your house?" D looked around at her aunt's home. "Not to bad. Where's your mom?" Luckily her aunt, uncle, and cousin were out again.
"I don't know." Robin answered. "She left several years ago and asked my uncle and aunt to take care of me. I don't even remember her face." She was satisfied and unhappy at the same time when the pain of her mother leaving her behind was nothing but a dull ache. It meant she was one step closer to being strong enough to following her mother out to sea.
"That's so sad!" She looked at him and almost fell in shock as he cried rivers of tears from his eyes. "I can't believe your life is so tragic! And poor mama for missing out on such a lovely little girl!"
"T-thank you for your feelings?" She honestly wasn't sure how to respond to that. Not only that but his tears were starting to puddle up. If he continued as he was they would soon be treading water.
As if hearing her thoughts he immediately stopped and began to sigh. "I wish my little girls were still you age. They were so much cuter at that age. Now it's always like, 'Die!' or 'You won't get away this time!'. I haven't been hugged by them in over eight hundred years." Dark clouds began to form around him and rain, and not figuratively.
"You mean eight years?" Robin wondered if maybe she had misheard him.
"No." He sunk down even further. "Eight years I could handle. Even eighty wouldn't be too unbearable. But eight hundred years!? That's practically half their life! Ooh! Butter fly!" The dark clouds disappeared as he chased another stick of butter that fly by.
"Sorry about that." His voice sounded from right behind her causing her to squeak and jump. She turned to find him standing behind her. "He's not really stable in his mind so whenever he gets really emotional I send some butter his way. It helps to keep him calm."
"But!? But!? But!?" She repeated as she pointed from the him chasing the stick of butter to the him standing beside her and back again.
"Oh right!" He thumped his fist on his hand, for some reason he had to left hands. "We didn't explain things to you!" He called the other him who was chasing the butter over. "Explain things to her."
"We're made of flowers and go poof sometimes." The butter chaser grinned. "We also can use all the fruits to some extension. Right now our real self is in time out and can't play."
"Explain it right!" He smacked himself. "She isn't a three year old!" She was so confused!
"I'm the one that all the devil fruits originated from." The butter chaser suddenly became serious. "These bodies before you are generated by the same power you have, the Hana Hana fruit. My real body is currently sealed away by the World Government because they fear me and what I might do to them because of what they did during what is now known as the Missing Century eight hundred years ago. While my body is sealed my mind is free to roam, thus the Hana generated bodies." He turned to himself. "Was that detailed enough?"
