Fight For a New Name. Who Knew Trains Could Float?

Hey guys. Sorry for the long wait on the chapter. I've got a couple reasons why it's taking so long but the biggest reason is that I don't really want to finish the next 2 chapters. You guys will hate me after they're done. Also life has been crazy with ups and downs.

On another note I tried something new to help show the change in pov or areas. Let me know how you guys like it. With markers for pov change or just write it and hope you guys can tell. Seriously. Let me know. I want to improve my writing. If I don't get feedback I can't do that as fast as I would.

Kuzan gasped as the air around them grew colder than he had ever felt before and the air seemed to darken and turn blue. It felt as if death itself was overtaking them. And just as suddenly as the cold began a warmth entered his body beginning at his shoulder. A glance behind him revealed Frost standing behind him once more surprising Kuzan. He could have sworn he had been standing before him with Rose and D.

"We got places to be." Frost grinned. That part was the only way he seemed similar to D, his supposed father. With surprising strength Frost pulled him over to where Rose and D stood as if frozen in place. The air returned to its normal color and Frost held a hand out to Rose. With a calm that spoke of experience she took his hand and grabbed onto D's, an excited grin plastered on her face.

The air darkened blue once more and Frost began running pulling Kuzan along. He looked around as they ran across the island away from where he had been fighting the Strawhat boy. For some reason he felt as if time was moving and not moving at the same time. He wondered if it had something to do with the color of the sky. One thing was certain, Frost was the cause. Which brought to mind another question. Just what was his power?

"Watch your feet." Frost warned as they suddenly jumped of land to the sea.

Instinctively Kuzan began freezing everything beneath his feet. Only to find he could not freeze it. And yet he did not sink. Nor did the water feel solid. It felt more like stepping on mud that wasn't quite wet enough to sink into. Soft and pliable but if a little more pressure was given it would give way.

"Pick up the pace or you'll sink." Rose called out. And sure enough his feet were beginning to bog down as if stepping in deep sticky mud.

"Give Articuno a break." D chastised. "He's never ran on water before. Ice, yes. Water, no." If they were running on water why was it as firm as it was?

"We're here." Frost announced suddenly and they all stopped. Kuzan had not even noticed that they had returned to land. Things were certainly not going his way today. The world changed back to its original color and Kuzan jumped away taking a battle stance. With how little he knew about their powers he had to be wary of the new couple. D's personality gave him confidence that he would sit by and watch. But he was still a wild card that couldn't be given to much leash.

D clapped and a resounding boom filled the air. "Gather round! Today we're going to witness a battle between the lovely Rose, a blossom blooming into a wild flower! And her a opponent the great and mighty Articuno!" His voice echoed around as if an announcer. Who exactly he was talking to Kuzan had no idea. It also seemed he didn't have time for questions.

D turned to him and whispered. "That's your cue to burst into feathers and blast ice beam into the air." Kuzan, Rose, and Frost each sweat dropped as D mimicked a bird taking flight and shooting something from its mouth.

"Let's just get this over with." Kuzan sighed. He was really getting sleepy. "What are the rules?"

"Same rules for any pirate and marine battle." Frost answered as he began walking towards him. "Don't hold back she won't either." When Frost got to him he placed a hand on his shoulder and whispered in his ear. "Seriously. Don't hold back. You'll die." He then kept walking until he stood beside D. Then he called out. "Also if you concede then you have to get her a better pirate name."
