"Didn't eat a fruit."
The words ran through her mind over and over again. That shouldn't be possible. Being born with powers meant that both parents were immortal beings. What this meant about Frost she wasn't certain. If his parents had sent him an a mission concerning her father it would make sense to search the place his physical body was. While she could keep mortals away immortal was another matter.
"This is pretty good." Frost spoke through a full mouth. "Pops never was any good at cooking." She had made him some food to calm herself. Cooking always helped her think.
"Could you tell me who your father is?" She asked.
"Dad's dad." He shrugged. "Not much to it."
So either he was really being honest or he was instructed not to reveal his parents. "What about why you are on this island?"
"No idea." He shrugged again. "I was passing nearby and felt drawn here so I came to investigate. That's why I couldn't let you go in that cave. Tried going in myself and almost died. That's some crazy energy building up. Wouldn't want to be anywhere near when it blows."
Tranquility nodded. She had noticed the energy after they had stopped fighting. She didn't tell Frost that it was her father's energy. If Frost's parents wanted her father taken care of she definitely wasn't going to help it happen.
She wondered about that some more. Could her father's actions have caused concern amongst the others? She didn't know what he was doing that could draw their attention when they didn't even get involved with the War.
"Who's your dad?" Frost suddenly asked bringing her out of her thoughts.
He seemed innocently curious but she couldn't take chances. Most likely his nickname that he gave to his friends would be safe since the whole would didn't know it. "My father is called D."
"D?" Frost looked confused. "Seems like I've heard that name before?"
Fear pierced her heart as he tried to remember where he had heard that name. If he was an enemy of her father she would have to take him out. And now that they had spoke a little he seemed like a nice boy.
"Ow!?" Frost suddenly cried out clutching his chest.
"What's wrong?" Tranquility asked concerned. "Did you accidently inhale some of the food?"
"No." He winced as his chest suddenly glistened as he froze it. "It's my brother."
"Brother?" Tranquility echoed. He wasn't alone? If his pain was caused by his brother they most likely had a very close connection. Maybe a twin similar to her and her sisters. She tried to figure out if she knew anyone with twins amongst them. It was hard to know since physical aging differed between immortals. And the parents could appear whatever age they wanted, though their true form would show through slightly.
"Yah." He sighed as the pain seemed to dissipate. "I'm searching for my brother. We were raised separately since dad said his enemies would try to kill us."
"How sad." She pitied him a little. But who could their father be if he was worried about enemies coming after his children.
"It's not so bad." Frost grinned. "I may not have grown up with my brother but dad made sure I had Pops." He stood up. "I better be going."
"Well that's a relief." She smiled. "Wait!? Your dad and Pops isn't the same person?!"
"Not exactly but they sorta are." He said as he walked out the door. "Pops is one of dad's copies."
"Copies?!" She quickly stood up to follow him but he was already gone. "It couldn't be! Is he our brother?!"
"Alright you pansies. I'm back!" Tempest yelled as she jumped onto the Moby Dick. "How've ya been?"
