~~ Heeey, so... the song at the side is coming out in a couple of weeks and because I love this girl and her voice I was wondering if you would listen to it (Diana Vickers, Cinderella). Have a lovely jubly weekend! xx ~~
CHAPTER 16
Was I being a wuss?
Maybe I was, maybe I wasn’t.
What I did know, though, was that even though it was late October it was freaking hot in my room. The window was open and clean, cold air was gracing every object in the room. Every object in the room except the living, breathing Jodi Thomlinson who was lying on her bed staring at the ceiling and wondering why the hell she was thinking about herself in third person.
I hated it when I was like this; it was like I was in the flipping menopause or something. That’s not a thing a fifteen year old wants to think when she still hasn’t been kissed without it being a joke.
God, what if I died right now from teenage menopause without my first kiss? I would be a joke, my friends would laugh at my non-kissing ways. Who would kiss me anyway? I mean, no one has wanted to kiss me… ever… so why would they want to kiss me now? Maybe I should pay for a proper kiss so I don’t have to die kissing-less…
Max wouldn’t kiss me ‘cause he had his eyes on a girl…
I wouldn’t want Cam to kiss me… he’s too much of a flirt…
Noah…?
Nope.
I wonder why Noah flipped like that earlier…
It was probably just big brother syndrome or something…
With a sigh I rolled out of bed feeling that the only way I would cool down was to go and have a walk to the kitchen and shove my head in the freezer whilst I made myself a lovely cold glass of water. That sounded too good right now…
I pulled my hair into a pony tail as I made my way to the door and then it was up to me to make the blind walk to the stairs and down to the kitchen. Even with the warmth swamping my body and the overly soft carpet under my toes that should comfort me I felt that at any moment searching hands will come out and grab me like the trees in Snow White.
I guess the idea didn’t really help with all those drunken knob-heads who had been evacuated from the house three hours ago under the orders of Cam and when that got him nowhere Alfie stepped in and the house was soon deserted.
I got into the kitchen and made myself a glass of water before gulping it down and filling the glass again and proceeding to go up the stairs and to my room. I was at my door, turning the door handle when I heard a loud sigh. Staring down the dark corridor the place looked serene and quiet; all the doors were shut and there was not a peep from behind any of them, well, apart from the snoring from Cam’s room. The only thing that seemed out of place was the window at the end of the hall that was wide open making the thin curtains flutter in the wind.
Placing my glass on the floor outside my door I walked down the corridor and stuck my head out of the window. Looking left and looking right I saw no sign of life, with a sigh I went to go back inside and close the window believing it was my imagination or it was a slumbering sigh from one of the rooms near mine. But something stopped me. Well, more like someone.
“Jodi?” my head shot back out at my name and looking up this time I found Noah sitting on the peaked roof above the window like he was horseback riding. He looked down at me with a mixture of confusion, suspicion and… anger. He was still pissed off with me.

Toothpaste Kisses
Teen FictionJodi is snappy, sardonic and so very British. That's probably how she ended up living with two boys, and probably how she ended kissing one of them in a very messy manner. The question is; will she regret it or will the unlikely pair find love? So...
