Jace's POV

I woke to the sound of slamming on a door and yelling. It seemed far down the hall, but I could still hear what was being said. Even the man talking really low pitched.

"Dude what the hell is wrong? I was just sleeping-" The man talking low said.

"ROUGES!" was all I heard before the man with the louder voice came in again a few seconds later.

"Gaven! What are you doing!" I heard him say. I guess Gaven was the other voice.

He yelled back, "I got to make sure my mate is ok! I'll be there in a minute! Just go!" was all he said before I heard footsteps coming near my door.

'Does Gaven really care about me? No he couldn't, after what he did to me.' I thought before Gaven unlocked my door and ran in. I turned around to see him with a worried look on his face. He does care. But how much does he?

"Jace are you okay?" He asked with desperation in his voice.

"Why, shouldn't you know how I am?" I said back, but I couldn't help sound scared, although I could tell I also had a bit of power in my tone. Can I really be brave at this point? I don't know.

"Look Jace. There are rouge Werewolves outside and I just came to make sure you were okay. I truly am sorry for last night, I really am, but I need you to follow me now. Please?" His voice was covered by fear. Was it because of the rouges or because of me? I noticed the fear very strongly and went over to him. He told me to follow him and I did.

We ran out of the room only to stop in our tracks. Gaven looked at the door across from mine and went into the room.

Nichole, I need you to come out of the bathroom, Now!" Gaven yelled and Nichole came out. Gaven looked at me. My face was most likely covered in confusion. I wonder why Nichole was in this room. Maybe she was cleaning and Gaven smelled her.

We ran out of the room we were just in. Me and Nichole right behind Gaven, but he was fast. I looked back at Nichole and noticed she was falling behind a little, but I was almost keeping pace with Gaven. If he was a Werewolf, wouldn't he have like super speed or something? So how could I almost keep up?

Gaven pulled back to Nichole to tell her something. I knew I could hear what he was saying, but at this time I could care less about him. The only reason I followed him was because I knew he'd force me to follow him one way or another. I didn't want to be near him let alone see him, but now that Nichole was with us I followed Gaven to make sure Nichole would be fine. Thats the only reason for my actions as of this moment.

Gaven finished his words with Nichole and ran back up to be next to me. Great.

We ran down the hall, past a few more rooms, then down two sets of stair cases and into a giant dinning room.

We ran to a wall with a giant tapestry on the it. I took a short look at it and the thing was beautiful. I knew if I ever got out of my room after this was over I would have to come back here and look at it more.

Gaven pulled up the right bottom corner of the tapestry to reveal a metal door. He opened the lock, then pulled the door out toward us. It was a little dark in the room, but I could see many women in there. These must be women who live, work, and so forth at Gaven's home.

Gaven pointed to inside the room and Nichole went in without a word. I seemed a bit worried, then Nichole turned her head and smiled at me. I went into the room with her. I leaned against a wall, then Gaven told us to wait here until he came back to get us. Then he closed the door and locked it. Great locked in another room.

I sighed and slid down the wall. The action reminded me of last night and I silently cried, my head planted on my knees.

I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I looked up to see a girl. She had long silver hair white eye's and a faint scar on her forehead. In the low light that was all I could see. But she looked a bit like Gaven. She must be his mother.
