Bringing Emily Home

Kensi's POV 

our daughter spent the first four months in the hospital due to the complications she faced at birth, but I'm happy to say that our angel is healthy, happy and is able to come home with us today. When we arrived with Emily we were greeted by the team. The entire family came over to meet Emily and I even noticed jack and his wife and kids.  They had lunch ready and we went and sat out on the beach for a while

Sasha: she's so beautiful 

Maya: I totally envy her hair, babies her age are supposed to still be bald and has dark blonde hair with golden highlights at the end, and its curly which makes it so much prettier. Emily has some nice hair

Deeks: I have nice hair

Maya: yours is ok. Mom I can keep her while you go and do other things. We could use some sister time and I'm great with babies so you can trust me

I know I can trust you with her, but she's asleep and you only want to dress her up and take pictures. You have forever to do that and I think Jonas wants to talk to you

Maya: Jonas has a crush on me and he's a nice guy, but he's not what I'm looking for. Jordan and I worked things out. I have him and I'm happy, it would also be super weird if I dated your ex fiance's son

So how about you go tell him that instead of ignoring his existence

Maya: I don't want to hurt his feelings because he's a really sweet guy and we're great friends. I like the friendship we have, but your right. I need to tell him that I'm only interested in a friendship

she walked away into the direction of Jonas. I turned my focus to deeks and our baby girl while they talked. we had an amazing day out with our family. Sam ordered pizza and we all laid out in the sand enjoying lunch. Once Emily woke up Nell took her for a while, she seem to really love taking care of Emily. She's going to make such an amazing mother one day

Nell: Kensi she's such an angel. I swear you guys have the perfect baby, she never cries and always has that adorable smile on her face

Deeks: well she definitely takes after me. Kensi's  more on the grumpy side

I punched him in the arm like old times, it's been a while since I did that

Deeks: Fern you need to stop abusing your husband, you don't hit like a girl and my arms going to be hurting all day long 

well you deserved that, I not grumpy and your getting kind of annoying

Deeks: I'm annoyingly sexy and you know you love it. How can you not love all I have to offer?

I laughed along with him, he was right about me loving his goofy personality. He definitely  knows how to keep a smile on my face. After we spent our day relaxing on the beach everyone joined us inside once it got dark and we sat in the living room discussing the past few months over beer

Maya: mom do you think I can maybe go out later? It's only after nine and I'll be home right after dinner

it's a little late for you to be leaving the house. Where exactly are you headed?

Sasha: she's coming to dinner with me and Jordan's mom. I have a baby to be home to so we'll be back by eleven thirty

I thought his mom didn't like you very much

Sasha: That was kinda my fault. I wasn't always hostile with her, but we're good now. So can Maya tag along?

Go ahead, but if your not home by midnight that's when we'll post the amber alerts and gather the search teams

Maya: I actually believe she'd do that

I definitely would do that for two of my favorite girls. How's Jordan doing, I haven't hear from him in two and a half weeks?

Sasha: He's still there annoying everyone. He had a respiratory infection around that time so he couldn't do much of anything then. He's much better now and will be able to make it to graduation next week

Graduation is coming up so fast, It feel like just yesterday when you two were lie babies running around playing together and now your going off to college in a few months. I'm going to miss you both so much

Maya: we're not even leaving the state, we'll be right here

your going to live on campus so ill barely see you

Maya: I'm not living on campus when I have my room right upstairs. I'm not going anywhere so you won't have to miss me at all

I had plans on making your room my new yoga area. I'm very disappointed Maya, but at least I'll get to keep you longer

Maya: I have no plans on moving out and in a few years when I do move I'll be here everyday because I have my brother to hang with and my little sister. I'll always be around no mater where I live

That's the good part of you being so close to your dad and me. Go enjoy your dinner in peace

Maya: Mason lets get going, you and Aniyah are coming with us so you won't get bored here 

Mason: Niyah and I are good here, we're going to play video games up in my room

Sasha: guys we said that we're sorry about last weekend, you can't still be mad at us for one little mistake that anyone could make and you two don't even get along well

Aniyah: we get along just fine, he's my best friend and we wouldn't want you to accidentally forget us for nine hours in the mall while you go have a spa day

They did what? how could you forget your brother and sister for nine hours?

Maya: okay we'll see you guys later. Bye guys

They quickly left the house and mason took Aniyah up to his room to go and play. I continued the conversation we were having and it lasted a few hours before they started heading out. It was a nice welcome home for Emily who seemed to love everyone and I'm looking forward to having more moments like this with my family. we may have our ups and downs but at the end of the day we all still have one another and that's the most important thing of all. having people to lean on 

This chapter is a little boring and short, sorry about that. I'll try to update more frequently because the book is coming to an end pretty soon
