We've been together for two months, and I've had two months to wonder what Connor could possibly be hiding from me.
And two months to let the guilt inside of me about Tyler grow and grow until it's a full grown monster, gnawing away at my insides, eating at my happiness and keeping me up, staring at the ceiling late at night.
"Troye, do you know where my beanie is? My favorite, the knitted gray one..." Connor walks in shirtless, looking around. I almost drop my phone. Damn, my boyfriend is hot.
"Hey, you're wearing it! Although it probably looks better on you, I'm afraid I want to be the one wearing it today."
"At least put a shirt on before picking out a hat," I laugh, dodging his attempt to grab it off my head.
"I'll get dressed in the order I want, thank you very much."
With that, he starts chasing me around his house, both of us laughing as I get more exercise than I have in, like, a week.
Finally, he corners me by the couch and I fall back onto it, my shirtless boyfriend falling on top of me. Smirking, he plucks the beanie off my head and carefully arranges it on his own.
"Much better."
I pout my lip, giving him my best puppy eyes, although his face is only a few inches from my own.
"Babeee, now I'll be cold...."
"Shh, I'll warm you up." He presses his lips firmly to mine, his warmth spreading like a pleasant wildfire from my lips and throughout my body. I smile into the kiss, and after a bit he pulls a way, his a gorgeous green eyes staring thoughtfully into my blue ones.
"Better?"
"Better."
Maybe better will be our always.
Con helps me sit up, seeing as he was lying on top of me.
"Con, as much as I love seeing you practically naked, I think you might want to find a shirt before you meet my manager. First impressions are important, sweetie."
"Hmmm, what could I possibly wear to make this outfit? Oh I know! One of your shirts!" He grins excitedly, giving me a quick peck on the cheek before racing back to his room.
Although I haven't moved in, I've been spending most of my time here with Connor, including nights. So I brought over some of my clothes, although usually I just steal Connor's. I was never into sharing clothes, but wearing his scent is too comforting to resist.
Connor appears again shortly with one of my hoodies on. Of course, I'm wearing one of his jackets right now, so I can't really complain.
"When is Emma coming over again?"
"She'll be here any minute."
As if on cue, the doorbell rings. "I'll get it!" I yell. Connor hasn't had his coffee yet, so it's too dangerous to let him around other people.
I open the door to reveal my lovely manager, and immediately start to smile excitedly.
"Emma! Come in, I've missed you so much!"
"Troye! I hope while I was gone, you came up with some songs for us to work on. Just because you have a boyfriend now doesn't mean you don't have to work!" She laughs lightly, pulling me in for a hug before stepping inside.
Connor comes over to greet her, coffee in hand.
"It's so nice to finally meet you! Troye talks about you alllll the time."
"All good things I hope," Emma jokes, shaking Connor's hand before we follow him into the living room. We sit down, Connor and I on the couch and Emma on the comfy chair.
"Of course."
"So, how long have you two been together? Troye only told me a few days ago." Emma glares at me playfully.
"Hmm, a few months now. Luckily, since neither of us have had to travel recently, it's been a lot easier to keep this a secret while we were first trying it out," Connor tells her, reaching over to hold my hand. "So what's it like being Troye's manager?"
Emma smirks at me. "Well, I could do worse..." I pretend to be offended, scoffing. "Kidding. Troye's an amazing singer, plus he's a great friend."
"Aww, thanks Emma. You're okay too."
Connor slaps me jokingly, and Emma bursts into laughter. We talk for a while, drinking coffee and catching up.
Soon, Emma has to leave, and while Connor is in the bathroom I begin talking in a low, half-whisper.
"Okay so I'm writing this song for Connor, and it's not done yet, but this is the flash drive of what I have so far and of course it's not usually your job but you have good taste, so if you could edit some lyrics and maybe help with the melody that would be amazing."
Emma's face lights up as I hand her the flash drive. "Oh my god, that's so romantic! Connor is going to love it! Of course I'll help."

"Hey Con da Bon, I want to get something from my apartment before it becomes too dark outside. Mind driving me?" Rolling his eyes, my boyfriend grabs his keys and soon enough we're on the way.
"Troye..." He pauses, as if debating something with himself.
"Yeah? Is everything okay?" I ask worriedly. Connor has spent so much time worrying about me, and ever since that fight we had when I was still trying to remember, I'm always worried that I'm not caring about his feelings enough.
"It's fine...um...I really love you, ya know?"
I nod, my eyes lighting up with joy. "I do know. And I love you too. I don't think I tell you that often enough."
"Well...we've been dating for a couple of months now..."
He isn't going to...
"...and I don't see us breaking up anytime soon..."
Hopefully never.
"...and you've been staying at my place a lot..."
Oh my god. Is he?
"And I was just wondering, uh, if you would want to move in with me?"
