Chapter 26:

*ROSES POV*

I couldn’t help but smile knowing that I convinced Raven I was safe. Things can only get better from here.

“Rose?” Raven asked into the phone after composing herself. It must have been such a relief for her to know that I was okay. If our roles were switched I would have been doing everything in my power to find Raven.

“Yeah?”

“Well, how are you going to get home?”

I paused for a second.

How was I going to get home? Where am I for that matter? I couldn’t be too far away from home.

“Umm… Well, I don’t exactly know where I am right now so I’m not really sure…”

“Oh, well is there someone that you could ask?”

“Alright one second…” I pulled the phone away from my ear and turned to the boys again. “Hey did any of you find out where we are?”

“Yeah I asked the guy at the counter and he said we're in Hawaii,” Zayn said turning to face me.

Whoa! Hawaii? I didn’t think that I was that far from home! How will I afford the plane ticket out of here? It’s not like Raven can just come by and pick me up in her car!

I held the phone back up to my ear.

“Um… I think we have a bit of a problem Raven.”

“Why? What’s going on? Where are you?” She franticly said into the phone.

“Well, I’m in Hawaii…”

“YOU’RE WHERE!?” She screamed at me.

“Hawaii?” I said sounding nervous.

“Oh my gosh Rose! How are we gonna get you out of there?”

“Wait a second Raven,” I said forming an idea. “Why don’t my parents just buy me the tickets and then mail them to me here so I can come home!” my voice lighting up at the idea of coming back home. I’m not sure how my parents would come up with the money so fast, but I’m sure they would find some way.

“Uh Rose?”

“Yeah?” I asked wondering why Raven didn’t seem very excited about my plan.

“Well, um… I don’t think it’s going to be that easy,” her voice was shaking a little bit.

“I know that it might take a while to mail the tickets, but don’t worry I have a hotel and-”

“No, it not that Rose,” she cut me off mid-sentence.

“Well aren’t you there with my parents and Jane?” I asked confused about why it would be complicated.

“No I’m not Rose.” I could hear her start to crumble.

“Well why not?” I nervously asked her.

“Rose, Jane’s dead.”

The phone receiver felt like ice against my skin as my fingers when rigid.
