I don't know what I did to upset my father, but I guess coming home looking content didn't sit over well with him and I got serious punishment for it. To say I was sore was an understatement; I was in extreme pain. I could tell my ribs were bruised,  so breathing hurt. Walking was also a nightmare and sitting through the long classes only made it worse. Today was also the first day working with the host club. I turned down the hallway sighing as I walked towards music room three. Lucky for me I saw the only other person who was dreading the coming activity as I was.

"Oi, Haruhi! Wait up." The brunette stopped, looking back and waiting for me to catch up. "So do you know what is planned today? I overheard some fangirls talking about how they do themes now and again with cosplay."

"Oh great. Guess we will find out won't we." she muttered unamused and reached to open the door. What we were met with really threw me for a loop. A full tropical forest landscape was just behind the door.

"Welcome~" The group dressed in light clothing for extremely hot weather greeted us, and yes that means half naked.

"Toshiro-senpai! Glad you made it." I held up a hand before Tamaki could continue.

"Please just call me Shiro. Honorifics are unneeded Tamaki." I smiled softly feeling uncomfortable, tired and in pain. I took a glancing sweep around to see who else was in the club. Hitachiin twins Hikaru and Kaoru, Kyoya Ootori from yesterday and... I froze when I saw them. Haninozuka and Morinozuka the very same people I was to always be rivals with and never interact with. Gulping I quickly averted my eyes sadly, forcing a smile before anyone noticed. "It's a pleasure to be joining you all."

I have never known a guy to squeal, but Tamaki did it as he launched himself out of his 'king' throne and tried to give me a bear hug. Though I was still sluggish, I was able to dodge him and watched as he face planted onto the ground.

"Right well we are opening soon so you should probably go change into costume." Kyoya said pushing up his glasses. Both Haruhi and and I instantly shot it down. I understood for her perspective, but the hosts didn't like that I said no too.

"Eh? Shiro-senpai you are an actual guy so what's the big deal if you dressed up?" the twins questioned in unison.

"First impressions with the ladies I guess." I shrugged. If they made me change they would see the bruises along my ribs and most likely start asking questions. Maybe joining this club wasn't such a good idea.

"It is your first day on the job so I won't pressure you, however, next time you will be required to wear the outfits we choose for you." I nodded my thanks to Kyoya and gave a small smile. What was to come was certainly going to be an interesting experience.

As soon as I thought that the doors opened and guests poured in. It didn't take long when the girls saw me standing in the room with a smile that screaming followed. I grimaced at the pitch as a crowd surrounded me. I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of girls who apparently wanted me in the host club for awhile.

"Shiro-senpai I didn't know you were part of the host club!" I turned to the brunette who stood in front of me with hearts in her eyes.

"Shiro-senpai are you a host?! Can we request you!?"

"Of course," I put on a charming fake smile "I figured joining would  give me the best way to meet all you lovely ladies." the girls awed and squealed with delight at my act. I could feel other eyes on me, looking sideways to see the host staring at me in awe. Well except one, Morinozuka was looking the other direction not really caring about my presence. Shaking myself mentally I began my long afternoon hosting.

There was a couple times where I would catch Haninozuka or Morinozuka watching me curiously as I entertained the ladies. The thought of these girls fawning over me was ridiculous and very much unnerving. I wanted to escape away from all this needless flirting, but being stuck here now I just made the best of it. Maybe if things went well I would be able to talk and try to become friends with these hosts, but my family would never allow me to stay friends with them. After all being the unwanted child I had to follow the status quo within my family in order to even get by on a day to day basis.
