Chapter 8

~~Nina's P.O.V~~

It had been two days since all the drama had happened. By the afternoon of that day, rumours were flying around school, some had said that i was apparently Tony's girlfriend, some said sister(not sure how was, we look nothing alike) but the majority said that it was Vic who had saved Tony's ass from Josh, not me, and apparently, because it was Vic who had done it, it was now 'cool' to stick up for Tony. Well that's what everyone said but still nobody spoke to Tony, guess they were too embarrassed about bullying him before and then suddenly becoming friends or attempting to become friends with him.

I hadn't spoken to Vic since the incident. Didn't really want to either. Don't get me wrong, I don't care that he got all the credit for saving Tony but he could've at least made the effort to tell people it wasn't true. He had been in a few of my lessons but I'd avoided him and hurried off to my next class before he could even have the change to speak to me. It also made me sad that Rhi was his girlfriend. Im not one to judge quickly but from when I had spoken and seen her she seemed like a self centred cow. I thought Vic could have done better. Would've thought and known better.

I sat with Emma and Ellie the two lunchtimes after it had happened but they were both busy today so I was wondering though the canteen with my apple and water when I spotted Tony sitting by himself again. I strode over and sat opposite him smiling.

'Hey!' I said cheerily. I guess he didn't see me sit down and he jumped when I spoke but he soon recognised me.

'Hey.' He said smiling at me. He looked adorable with a smile on his face. His cuts were heeling quickly which I was glad at but he still winced in pain at the cut on his lip when he smiled.

Tony and I chatted for a while about nothing in particular, he asked me a few questions about why I moved and I asked him about his life. I was just going to ask him if he was doing anything later and wanted to hang out but Vic spotted me and came jogging over.

'Hey Tony, er Nina can I talk to you?' He asked. Before I could decline because I was having a nice time with Tony, Tony stood up and walked away after saying he'd leave us to it. I sighed but quickly put on a smile and gesturing to the seat opposite me.

~~Vic's P.O.V~~

I hadn't had the chance to speak to Nina since what had happened with Josh and Tony. She'd been in a few of my lessons but they were the serious ones where we weren't allowed to talk and before I could speak to her at the end she seemed to run out the door without even sparing me a glance. Hell all I wanted was to be friends!

I had a slight feeling she was ignoring me though. And it may be because I was getting all the credit for sticking up for Tony and punching Josh when actually it was her. I had tried telling people that it wasn't me and it was her but they just ignored It and told me how amazing and modest I was. Now usually, the attention is nice but I was getting sick of it. All I found myself wanting to do was find and explain to Nina the truth so when I spotted her sat with Tony at lunch, it was the perfect opportunity.

'Hey Tony' I said being polite. 'er Nina could I talk to you?' I asked quietly unsure if she would speak to me or not. I wouldn't have minded Tony being there but he got up and let us speak whilst Nina gestured for me to sit down in the seat facing her.

'yes?' She asked quietly so I could barely hear.

'Nina i wanted to apologise. I know that I'm getting all the credit for saving Tony but I keep telling people that it wasn't me but they don't believe me and I wish they would, I wish you'd get the credit you deserve, not me.' I said *god that sounded cheesy, at least try to hide your feelings vic*

'Oh.' Was all she said for a while. We sat staring at each other across the table in silence. It wasn't awkward but it wasn't the most comfortable either. I wanted to know what was going through her head right now. She really was beautiful. Her long blond hair was clipped back on one side pull pulled loose on the other side so it fell gently down her tanned skin. Her eyes were the deepest brown but they still seemed to sparkle like the stars.

'And I was maybe wondering if you'd like to meet me and Jaime later after school seeing as its a nice day, we could go to the park or something?' She looked slightly shocked and I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. She took a sip out of her glass still not responding, I wondered if she'd actually heard me. I felt a bit embarrassed. 'I mean, only of you want and like just friends, only if it's fine by your boyfriend and everything.' I said scratching the side of my head. Yep I'd made a fool out of myself. When I said the word boyfriend though, Nina almost choked on the water on her mouth and spat it out all over me.

'Wow! What?' I exclaimed standing up.

'Oh shit, I'm sorry! Oh god I don't even have your jumper to give back to you I'm so sorry Vic oh my god.' She said frantically.

'Hey Nina don't worry, it just shocked me that's all.' I laughed 'Anyway it's just like payback.' I said smiling at how we first met. 'so um? Whyy did you just spit water all over me?' I asked chucking once again sitting down.

'Oh aha um did you say boyfriend? Who exactly are you referring too?' She looked confused.

'Oh umm well you were looking quite close to that other kid that beat up Josh with Tony and Me..' I started but she just burst into fits of laughter. It was cute. No girls ever showed their full selves in front of me which was annoying, I wanted someone who wouldn't care if they looked stupid or anything. Nina laughed for a good 2 minutes and when she looked up she had tears streaming down her face and her makeup was smudged down her cheeks. I literally did not know what was going on, I was so confused so I just sat there awkwardly until she spoke.

'Oh god Vic, that hilarious.' she said wiping away her tears. 'Honestly, is that what it looked like? Ew ahaha oh Vic that was my brother George.' She smiled at me trying to hold back another burst of laugher.

Not going to lie, I haven't been much more embarrassed than I was then in my whole life. I had just confused Nina's brother as her boyfriend and now I looked like an idiot.

'well shit.' was all I could manage. I was pretty sure I was blushing like hell.

'Yes' She said looking up at me seriously this time.

'What?' I asked

'Yes I would love to meet you and Jaime after school.'

Thank god for that.
