Chapter 22

~~Vic's P.O.V~~

Weeks had passed since mine and Nina's game of cluedo and it was now the middle of summer. We had spend many days together when Nina wasn't out horse riding or playing tennis or anything regarding her busy life. We had in fact played cluedo again and like i said I would, I won.

Nina had dinner at mine and I has dinner at hers time after time and a lot of the time we spent with Jaime, Mike and Tony as well.

Near the end of term we had to get in groups for our music assessment and we invited Tony into our group. They all came round on a few occasions and Mike played drums for us most of the time. Nina insisted that Jaime, Tony, Mike and I started a band an it wasn't a bad idea.

Tony was hilarious, he had a wicked sense of humour and was just like Me and Jaime. We hung out with him more after that and people slowly started to accept him at school although there were still a few dicks that didn't.

'HEY TONY.' I shouted. We were all round at mine in the pool seeing as it was a beautiful hot day.

'Er yeah!?' He shouted from the other side of the garden where he was launching a tennis ball at Jaime.

'Come over here!' This was going to be brilliant. Tony, Jaime and Tess were yet to get in the pool because it was freezing so Nina and I decided to give Tony a helping hand.

I was still in the pool but Nina was out getting some 'food' from the table behind. He was stood very very close to the edge of the pool which was just what we had wanted.

'yeah?' He said standing waiting but before I had the chance to reply Nina had run up sprung onto his back and he was now falling straight into the pool. His face was priceless.

Just as he hit the water we all heard a crack that would've made the toughest man wince. I looked around just as Nina's head was moving off the side of the pool.

I don't know exactly what happened next. It all seemed to go in slow motion. 'Nina!' I screamed as I quickly swam over to her. Tony had already got hold of her and was holding her head carefully above the water but there was still blood gushing out into the pool. She wasn't moving. I got out the pool as fast as I could but Tony was already handing Nina over to Jaime who was dry and out of the water. Tess had run inside to call an ambulance.

Jaime placed Nina down on a towel by the side of the pool but was supporting up her head. 'Come on Nina, you're going to be fine. Please wake up.' He looked as if he was going to cry.

I ran her to her side and took her hand. 'Come on Nina, wake up please! For me! Please Nina, you'll be ok.' I sobbed. I couldn't loose her. 'please, p-please.' I could barely get out my words. I felt someone put a hand on my shoulder but i shoved it off. I saw Tony through my blurred peripheral vision draping a towel over my shoulder. I pushed that off as well. 'Come on Vic, you're shivering!' Tony said and I realised how cold I was but I didn't care. I took the towel and rested it over Nina so she wouldn't loose heat as quickly.

Tess ran out of the house 'Ambulance will be here in 5, I'll wait out front for it.' She said also almost in tears.

I didn't know what to do other than just sit helplessly and hold Nina's hand. 'She'll be ok Vic.' Tony and Jaime had both told me.

Mike has wondered out of the house at one point so see what the noise was and he too was now holding Nina's other hand. The two of them had come quite close with all the time Nina had been spending at my house.

Somewhere along the line I had started shivering even more and was now panicking and hyperventilating.

'Vic, Calm down!' Tony shouted at me spinning me around to face him. 'She's going to be ok, she still has a pulse but you need to calm the fuck down! Breathe Vic dammit!' I could hardly register what he was saying.
