Chapter 46

~~Nina's P.O.V~~

The past few months had passed really quickly. Vic, Tony, Jaime and I had all done our A-level exams and Mike had done his GCSE's. Everyone was really nervous about the results but we all tried to get it off our minds by meeting up and messing around etc etc.

The boys hadn't get got another chance to play their own gig and they hadn't even gotten the chance to support which they were all sad about but I told them their chance would come.

Today is August the 23rd which means results day. Vic offered to pick me up and give me a lift into school but my parents wanted to be there so I told him that they were taking me. He understood. He was a bit sad because his parents were away but it didn't overly bother him. I told him I would be there for him and so would Tony, Jaime and Mike who was coming along. He was getting his results in 2 days time.

We all agreed we could wait for each other to get their results and then open them together. We heard screams of delight and cries of sadness all around us as people started few by few to open their result cards.

'Ready?' I asked the guys. We were all clearly very nervous but they all shook their head in agreement.

This was it. This is what would define my life for the next 5 years and possibly even after that.

I slid my hands under the lid of the envelope, my heart fluttering like a butterfly and my palms becoming slightly sweaty.

I slowly slid out the piece of paper not wanting to look. I opened it up and opened one of my eyes. My other eye flew open in shock and so did my mouth.

I looked up to find the guys all staring it me questioningly.

I looked down at my paper thinking there must be some typo.

Maths A*

Biology A

Chemistry A*

Geography A

I had gotten into Cambridge.

What.

Holy shit.

Cambridge.

I looked up slowly with my mouth still wide open.

'I GOT INTO CAMBRIDGE!' I squeaked in delight. I was suddenly bombarded with hugs and kisses on the cheek from Tony and Jaime.

They stepped back and Vic walked up and without saying anything kissed me gently on the lips. I wrapped my arms around him. 'I knew you could do it Nina. I knew it.' I pulled away and had tears of happiness down my face.

'What about you guys, what did you get?' I grinned at them.

They all looked at each other. 'We all got onto Bath uni!' Jaime said jumping up and down. Tony and Jaime looked ecstatic but I couldn't help but notice Vic didn't look quite as happy. I shrugged it off as shock.

'Guys I'm just gunna go see my parents. I'll catch you all later, well done I'm so happy for you guys.' He gave them a big thumbs up before I ran and threw myself into my dads arms.

3 days had passed since results day and i was still absolutely over the moon that I had gotten into Cambridge. I never thought that would happen. Yes, i had studied hard but still!

I was getting ready for the day when my phone buzzed. I reached over and grabbed it.
