~~Vic's P.O.V~~
The next week had been a better week than I had had in ages. I still cried every now and again but not as much as I did. I started to stop sitting in my room all day and I went out skateboarding and playing football in the park with my mates. I felt so much better. Yes I hadn't gotten over Nina but I was on my way.
Tony had been round a few times and so had Jaime and Tess. Mike was happier and seemed to be content with his life, though he still hadn't told mum and dad.
There was a reason I had taken Tony's advice and that was because it was the truth. Tony had every right to hate me yet he still comforted me and he was honest and I knew that what he spoke he truly meant. He wasn't trying to be malicious or anything like that, he just wanted what was best for me.
I was so glad I had spoken to him because now I could go back to school and although I couldn't be sure I wouldn't cry, i knew there was a chance that I wouldn't.
It was the day before we went back to school and I was slightly nervous and also trying to make the most of the last day before hell.
I was skateboarding through my neighbourhood to get to the park. I had just reached grass so I hopped off my board and picked it up to carry over to my mates when I heard someone call my name. I turned around to see Rhi waving and jogging to catch up with me. I sighed but then smiled back at her before she noticed.
'Hey Vic.' She said a little out of breath from running even though it had only even about 100 meters.
'Hey.' I said back a little half heatedly but she didn't notice.
'How you getting on? I umm heard..' She asked.
'Oh er yeah.. I'm getting on fine thanks.' this was strange, she was usually so self centred.
'Oh good.' She smiled.
'And how are you?' I asked trying to do the right thing and be polite.
'Yeah I'm pretty good, sorry Vic I have to dash, my friend is picking me up in 5, I'll see you tomorrow!' She said.
'Oh yeah, bye, have fun.' I called as she walked off. That was weird but I shook it off as people just pitying me and sink carried on walking to meet my friends.
~~Nina's P.O.V~~
I had been home for almost two weeks and the doctors said I was allowed to go back to school. I hadn't been out much because they said I needed to rest. Jaime and Tony had been round a few times and I'd seen Tess and Emma as well. All were practically in tears when they saw me. I was glad I meant so much to the people that also meant so much to me.
'NINA!' Ellie had turned up at my door.
'Ellie!' I hugged her.
'I missed you so much.' she cried. 'I'm so glad you're awake. Everyone is!'
'Hah, can't say I missed you, I was completely out of it.' I joked.
She laughed through her tears and i invites her in for a catch up.
Out of everyone that came to see me nobody spoke about Vic and I was glad because I would have nothing to say or do other than sit there. I felt bad but I just couldn't remember him.
I was nervous about going back to school. I didn't want loads of people fussing over me. I hated lots of attention. I was also nervous because I had to see Vic. I wasn't sure if he'd try to talk to me and in all honesty I kind of hoped he wouldn't. I also wondered if there was anyone else I had completely forgotten about. I hoped there wasn't but I couldn't be sure. No one had mentioned any names other than Mike and Vic that I wouldn't remember which gave me a little bit of hope.
Today was the day before school started and Tony was coming over to see me. I really liked Tony, he always made me feel so much happier and so much more positive about life. He filled me in about everything that happened while I was out but left out the parts to do with Vic which I was glad of.
'Hey Tone' I grinned opening the door to let him in.
'Hey Neen.' Tony replied. When he said it something weird happened. I heard another voice say it. A voice that I didn't really recognise and an image of me getting out of a car but I shook my head and ignored it as Tony reached down to pull me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around and hugged him back.
'How are you?' He asked sitting down on my bed. 'Looking forward to school tomorrow?'
'Not really, but who is!' I laughed.
'er me, obviously!' He said sarcastically.
I rolled my eyes. Tony was great.
'What do you wanna do today?' I asked pulling out my school uniform from my drawers.
'Don't mind, we could go skateboarding, I just got a new board.' He said excitedly.
'Well skateboarding it is then!'
Tony and I skated around the village for a while laughing at each other when we fell off or failed trying to get back onto the curb. There weren't many cars around so mostly we skated up and down the road. It felt so good to be back on my skateboard, I hadn't been since before the hospital, I had actually kinda forgotten I even had my board.
We rode all the way round the village a few times going fast down the hills with the win whipping through our hair. Tony's hair had gotten longer over the summer and it was now falling around his face. He had also got small stretchers and I wasn't going to lie, it was pretty hot.
Tony and I eventually got bored of riding around so we decided to go back to mine and sat in the garden.
We sat on the grass throwing a tennis ball backwards an forwards between each other even though we were sat only a meter apart. Tiny threw the tennis ball really hard at me and i threw it up in the air so he would have to reach forward for it. Tony caught it but lost his balance. I fell onto my back so I wouldn't get hit but Tony fell forward so he was leaning over me and his hands were on either side of me. His face was so close to mine I could feel his breath.
I looked him in his deep brown eyes and felt myself blush. I couldn't handle him being so close to me with our noses almost touching and before I knew anything else, I lifted my hand put it on the back of his neck and pulled his face up against mine. I pressed my lips against his. I pushed myself up on my other hand to get more comfortable and so I could be closer to Tony. Tony looked surprised when I kissed him. He kissed me back momentarily but then seemed to realise what he was doing and pulled straight away from me.
'Nina.' He ran his hands down his face. I just looked at him. What was the problem.
'Nina I can't I'm sorry I just-I just can't. I better go.' and before I had a chance to convince him to stay, he ha already left through the back gate.
