Scorpius' P.O.V
It was finally the night we were waiting for. Salem's concert. Thankfully Dad and Harry were able to make it and Albus too. He and I made much progress in the past week. We discussed a lot and he saw the healer again who prescribed a potion to help his mood imbalance. We shuffled in the small space which was the school gym. Albus was at the end; I was next to him, dad next to me and Harry next to him.
"So many goddamn muggles." Dad mumbled in my ear making me laugh.
"How about that? Never did we think that Draco Malfoy, heir of the long line of Malfoy purebloods would be in a muggle gymnasium." I teased and he rolled his eyes.
"You're a pureblood too."
"Yes but I've been here before." I said and he grimaced. When a person hit his back he sneered and Harry laughed. He leaned in to us.
"You think being married to me for fifteen years; he'd be used to muggles." He whispered and we laughed.
"It's gross and hot in here."Dad grimaced and I laughed.
"Yes it is." Albus chimed in fanning himself with the pamphlet. I smiled and went to kiss him but he put his hand up. "Too hot for that."
"All these people packed like cattle." Dad mumbled and I laughed. "How long do we have to be here?"
"Probably around two hours."
"Ugh."
"If you're good, I'll buy you ice cream." I chuckled and he looked at me.
"Really?"
"Yup as long as you're a good boy.""Sorry Scorp, your father here is a very bad boy." Harry teased and I groaned as did Albus. Dad blushed crimson and swatted him.
"Shush there, just cause' you're feeling better doesn't mean you can get lippy." He hissed and I laughed. The lights flickered indicating the start of the concert so we grew quiet and when kids filed onto the stage, we clapped. "Where is Salem?" Dad whispered.
"These are kindergarteners, Salem's on next." I whispered and he groaned. I chuckled and Albus intertwined our hands. The younger kids sang three songs, off key, and we clapped. Salem's class joined the stage and he took center stage. He took one look at the people and froze.
"He has stage fright." Albus whispered. "I didn't even think that."
"Well he takes after your shyness." I whispered and he blushed but I kissed his head.
"You guys better hope he doesn't have a magical burst."Harry whispered and I bit my lip. When the music started sure enough, Salem opened his mouth to sing and panicked. All of a sudden the lights above the stage burst scattering the broken glass onto the children. The children screamed and darkness surrounded the room.
"Shit." I jumped up and Albus followed as many people used their cell phones to light up the room. I spotted Salem still standing there and I ran up to him. I picked him up and he started crying into my neck.
"Shh it's okay." I hushed.
"I-I'm s-sorry." He cried and I rocked him gently.
"Don't be, it was an accident." I whispered to him. He clung on to me and teachers were checking out the students. The gym lights came on making it easier to see.
