Once school got out, Jay was falling for me hard! I had just turned 13, and I wanted to date him because I was actually starting to think he was cute. At dinner one night I asked my parents "hypothetically" if I could date and their immediate response was no. So then I was pressured again by kids in my grade so I decided to go against my parents orders and I shot Jay a text: Hey Jay! I was wondering if u would like to hangout at Starbucks soon😊❤️
After I texted him I left for a sleepover at Meagan's house. Once I arrived, Meagan was talking about why she broke up with Codon. "I think I'm too young to date" she responded. And then it got me thinking, am I too young to date? I only turned 13 a month ago and Jay was almost 14. But right as I finished that thought, I got a text back from Jay: That sounds cool, how bout this Fri? Also, my house is right near it so we can hang out at my place after.
We did our nails, played games, watched chick flick movies and went to bed at 2:00 am. And I kept thinking about what Meagan said. Was I too young to date?
