Chapter 16

Lily's P.O.V.

"Cj and Remus are headed over tonight right?" Bri asked as she carefully painted my nails a dark scarlet red.

"Yeah, I can't believe they're engaged. I mean I get it, the war is starting and we don't have that much time to do things but we are all still so young. It just makes me feel old." I said.

"I know, but honestly we are all going to get engaged and married and have kids within the next 3 years." Bri sighed.

"You don't seem excited." I pointed out.

"I love Peter, don't get me wrong, but it's hard to see our future sometimes. I rarely see him during school, and our relationship isn't that strong. It will get stronger though, we love each other, we can make it work." Bri said with confidence. "You on the other hand have a man who has been worshiping lyou, even if he is an immature rat, and you just finally got together." Bri giggled.

I blushed. "God I am hopelessly in love with that immature rat." I laughed.

Bri finished my nails and closed up the bottle of polish, then cast a drying spell so I wouldn't have to wait for them to dry.

"So do you think Cj will look any different?" Bri asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked confused.

"I mean, things like this change people you know? She might look more matured or happier." Bri said.

I thought about it. If James proposed to me I would be uplifted.

"Yeah, I think she will look different." I said.

Rae came into the room and sat down next to me.

"Where were you?" I asked.

"I just scouted out our next prank." She said with a wicked grin.

"Against who?" Bri asked seeming mildly interested for once.

"The marauders, I think it's been some time since we had our usual rivalry." Rae said.

"Okay, Cj should be here soon so we can all work this out together. Besides we know Cj will work out any kinks in the plan." I said .

And like she had heard her cue Cj burst in through the door and started hugging all of us, tackling us all on the bed we were sitting on.

"I missed you!" She said.

"Show us the ring!!" Rae said excitedly.

Cj stuck out her left hand and wiggled her fingers. "It was my moms." She said.

Lily gasped in awe. "I'm so happy for you. This is just so beautiful, the ring, your relationship. I can't help but be a little jealous." Lily laughed.

"Look at this, or little Cj, who never dated before has now fallen head over heels for a boy in only a short 5 months." Rae said.

"Only 5 months, I honestly feel like we've been together for 5 years. I can't imagine life without him. I sound like an annoying love sick puppy." Cj giggled.

"Well I have a plan on how to prank the boys." Rae said with the same grin.

"I'm all ears." Cj grinned.
