*Hey guys! Arilioness here! But I'm SOOOO sorry for not updating. I feel so freaking bad! But I've been working on other stories, such as That's Another Story For Later, and Escape. Also I didn't have wifi on my vacation. Combined with swimming, it's been all to crazy. So I' so sorry for not updating! I'll try and update more! Also please read the mentioned stories above!*

Darkness greets me when I wake. I pick my arm up and its lead. 5:22 a.m. I move my left leg, and I'm met with a strange barrier. My head drops to the left and with feet propped and sitting in a chair, head drooping to the side, is Jace. The "barrier" is his feet. My eyes sag closed. I lay there, wanting sleep to come, yet it won't. I turn onto my side, and I stare at the boy.

His blonde hair has fallen into his eyes, and he has bags under his eyes. I can tell he had stayed up late when I was recovering in the infirmary. He was awake until only about an hour before I gained consciousness. Yet despite how relaxed he looks, I know he can snap awake any moment.

His arms are crossed over his chest, ready for grabbing a weapon should something happen. A few minutes later, my eyes started to get heavier, and sleep takes me again.

"Ari." A voice whispers. Light streams into my room. I crack my eyes open a little, and see gold.

"What? I'm awake now." I murmur. I open my eyes further. I stretch like a cat and stop because of my arm, leg, and the fact I can feel my midsection stretch a little too far.

I wince and stretch back. "What happened?" Jace asks.

"Ow. Everything." I mutter. My back is aching.

"What hurts most?" He questions. I give him a look.

"If I'm supposed to narrow this down, I won't. My arm, leg, torso, cheek, back, and everything that got thrown, cut and bruised." I reply.

"And you're not moving today." He says, matter of factly.

"Please. I am not going to sit here all day." My stomach growls.

"Hungry much?" I give him another look.

"Hungry doesn't start. I haven't eaten since yesterday at 11. What time is it anyway?" I ask, suddenly distracted.

"8:20. Now come on, let's get you some food." I swing my legs over the side, and Jace wraps his arm around my waist, and I test my leg.

"Still not working." He supports me and put my arm over his shoulder. We walk or more like hobble, to the kitchen. I feel a little dizzy, and my head starts to throb. Once we get to the kitchen, I plop down into a chair and some of the dizziness fades.

"What'll it be, Jace?" Isabelle asks, not turning around. "Is Ari still sleeping?" Isabelle turns her head, and looks at Jace standing. "What do you want?" She prompts again.

"I'll have eggs." He replies. Eggs is the one things that Isabelle can cook.

"I just want a smoothie thanks, Iz." I say. She whips around.

"I asked if you were still sleeping." She turns to Jace. He shrugs his shoulders.

"You were barraging me with questions. I wasn't able to answer with you babbling." He says. She rolls her eyes and sticks her head into the fridge.

"How are you feeling?" She asks.

"This is what Jace means. You ask question after question. But I'm fine, just a little dizzy. Where's Alec?" She pulls her head from the fridge.

"He should be here soon. He's still sleeping for some reason. Anyway what kind of smoothie do you want?" She question. I look at Jace, and we just roll our eyes.
