*Hey guys! Sorry this changes POV so much! Thanks for reading!*
Honks, lights and people chattering fill my ears. I open my eyes and find I'm lying on the sidewalk in front of an old abandoned warehouse. I don't even know where I am. My body comes to the warehouse and opens the door. I walk over in a beeline to a small room. I try and stop but I cannot. I walk over and kneel down. "We meet again." The cold voice states.
"Get out of me!" I stand up and reach for one of my seraph blades. "Ithuriel." She touches a doll that looks just like me, and it turns onto me. I point Ithuriel toward my wrist.
"You're in my control. Now give up, join me and I'll make this stop." She asks again.
"How many times do I have to say it, no. What do you want from me?"
"You are what I want. You could be great. I could teach you the dark ways. I would spare your friends, and Jace." She pushes it to far. Nobody brings Jace into this.
"Don't bring him into this." I snarl.
"So you admit you love him." I narrow my eyes.
"Leave him alone." I snarl again.
"I will, if you let me teach you. Let me teach you everything I know. You'll be the best Shadowhunter of all time. Just let me teach you how."
"No. I will never. Leave all my friends alone." I shout.
"You want to know why I had Abbadon insert demon blood? So I could do this." Nothing happens for a minute. Unbearable pain shoots through my veins. I scream and fall into the floor.
"Make...it...stop." I gasp.
"Will you join me?" I nod, unable to do anything.
"I can't trust you yet." She walks over, and I feel my hands tied, as well as my feet.
As quickly as it comes, it stops. My eyes start to drop closed. "Sleep tight, my prodige." I make my eyes close. I have to do something. To escape. My eyes start to close and a restless sleep overtakes me.
*Jace POV*
Jace walks over to his room, and sees the light to Ari's room turned on. He walks in and sees the sheets are in tangles, and empty. His eyes widen. He races over to the training room, and calls her name. Nothing. He swings up to the scaffolding and still doesn't see her. He launches off, worry starting to become more prominent.
He sprints to the garden, past the witchlight torches and up the stairs to the garden. He dashes around the garden, calling Ari's name and looking behind every flower imaginable. Now that he's checked the two places she loves most, he begins the search the entire Institute.
"Ari! Where are you?" He calls. He races back to her room and hopes she's still there and he didn't see her. He slams open the door and again he sees the empty and tangled bedsheets. Then it hit him. The pain. The fire. He doubles over, then it's gone. Ari's in trouble, but where is she? He asks himself. He bangs on Isabelle door.
She opens the door. Wearing her black tank top and pink pajama shorts she walks out. "What?" She grumbles, annoyed that he awoke her at eleven in the evening.
"Have you seen Ari?" He asks, looking around nervously. She shakes her head.
"We need to get Alec." He states. Naturally, Alec is right next door. Again Jace bangs on the door.
Wearing his fluffy plaid pajamas, he shuffles out. "Have you seen Ari?" He asks again. Alec also shakes his head. Jace starts to go into his panic mode. Where is she? She isn't in the Institute. She would have told us if she was leaving.
"Isn't she in bed? I thought she was asleep." Isabelle interjects.
"She's not. Her light was on, so I checked. She's gone."
"You mean you can't find her." Alec corrects. He shakes his head vigorously.
"No. She's GONE. I cannot find her anywhere. I searched the whole Institute. She's nowhere." Jace says. "I also felt pain. She's in trouble. I can feel it. I just don't know where she is." He rambles.
"Give us ten minutes." Isabelle states. This time, she means ten minutes. Jace goes to the weapons room, and gears up. He snags daggers, seraph blades. Anything. And he grabs two more belts for the Lightwoods. The two are waiting outside their rooms one he comes back. He tosses them the belts.
"Let's go." He states. They run down the stairs, not bothering to take the elevator. They search the whole town, as far as they knew they could go so they could go back the Institute, but it wasn't far enough. They join back up shaking their heads. "We'll search tomorrow. Come on." They walk back the Institute, and fall into bed with hopes they find her tomorrow.
*Ari POV*
I'm swaying maybe four feet of the ground. I struggle and squirm, trying to get free. "You'll make it worse if you struggle." A sweet voice says. Soon, I'm dropped onto cobblestones. My hands having been bound, I could do nothing to break my fall. My head slams onto the cobblestones and my back arches in pain. My head still throbbing, an idea pops into my mind. The connection! If it's strong enough, I can talk to him.
Jace! Jace! I call. As I'm about to call again, my connection is cut off. "You cannot call him. He won't hear you." Sonomus smiles. She shuts the door, by door, I mean bars making a prison. "Now get some sleep. Big day tomorrow." She walks off. I manage to sit up and lean my head against the wall, drifting off into another restless sleep.
*Jace POV*
Jace. It's there. A small echo in his mind. He shrugs it off, thinking he's imagining it. Jace. There it is again, louder. Then he recognized the voice. Ari's. It works, it really works. Then the connection feels cut off. She's really in trouble. I have to save her. But his eyes start to drop closed. Before he can do anything to help her, sleep takes him.
