“So, what happened last night after you apologized to Connor?” Isabelle questioned me while we were sitting on the couch drinking our coffee. I decided she should just stay over for a couple of days, my house felt pretty lonely. And, as much as I don’t want to admit it, I was pretty fricken scared living here by myself. Anyway, she took my offer.

“Well, he didn’t exactly forgive me..” I started, but she cut me off.

“I don’t blame him!” She said, kind of loudly.

“I wasn’t done yet! And you’re siding with him...?” I smiled and winked at her.

“Don’t get me wrong, I love you to bits, but he just broke up with his girlfriend and he’s probably going through a hard time... I bet any girls annoy him. It’s not just you.. He’s just mad at the women species.” She triumphantly stated.

“Oh, if he was so ‘mad at the women species’ then why do you think he kissed me?” I smugly looked at her.

“Well, that depends... WHAT?!” She pushed my feet off the couch. “HE KISSED YOU?!” I couldn’t tell if she was happy or mad about this... I’m gonna go with a little bit of both.

“Calm yo tits!” I laughed. “He was drunk! I went to apologize and he started asking me questions about love and stuff, never actually forgiving me. So, I just talked to him for a little bit, I realized he was drunk, and he kissed me.”

“What’d you do in return?!” She excitedly asked.

“I slapped him.” I proudly crossed my arms.

“You.... what??” She yelled in disbelief. “A REALLY ATTRACTIVE GUY KISSES YOU, AND YOU SLAP HIM?!?” She got up and started pacing.

“Across the face, I might add.” I giggled.

“You’re joking.”

“No. He was drunk, it’s not like he’s gonna remember it! And I’m not gonna kiss some guy I just met! That’s friggen ridiculous! It’s not like we’re in some fangirly written fan fiction!” ;)

“I think he’ll remember when he wakes up with a hangover and a red welt on his face!” She said pissed. “What’d you say after that? Or what’d he say?”

“Well. I yelled, he apologized, I said we were even and stomped off... then I--” I stopped short, remembering kissing his cheek. It’s not like it was some glorious moment for me, but I was embarrassed to tell her.

“Then you what?” She curiously questioned me, with a smug look on her face.

“I went and got more punch. That’s all.” I tried to cover up what really happened. There’s no evidence of me actually doing that. She doesn’t know. Kian doesn’t know. Connor won’t remember anything. I’m the only one with that part of the story.

“That’s all?” She pressed.

“Yeah. All I can remember. I was really tired.” I tried to slyly change the topic. She sighed and plopped down.

“Me too. I forgot to give Kian his hat back, I still have it upstairs.” She smiled. “I kind of like it though. Maybe he’ll want to meet up so I can give it back.”

“You sly butterfly.” I teased her. I was glad to be off the topic of me and my aggressiveness.

“Whatever.” She rolled her eyes. We both continued sipping our coffee in silence.
