Alpha's POV
"Is she alright?" I asked Jessi, our pack doctor. I was so rude to her before I knew she was my mate and even after she probably thought I was trying to kill her. This was all my fault. I am going to be right next to her when she wakes up.
"She is going to be fine. From what I gather she was exhausted when you found her and making her fight you, your hunter, and your warrior didn't help any." Jessi scolded me as she checked her heartbeat. "She seems to be alright but she is dehydrated and overworked so if she wakes up you need to keep her from getting up. I heard her breathing shift and I knew she was about to wake up but Jessi didn't seem to hear it over her own talking.
"Okay, I understand thank you for your help can you go get her some more water please thank you!" I said in a rush as I was pushing him out the door, and rushed over to Mate.
FLASH TO JESSI'S POV
"Hmm...That was weird....." I thought as I was walking to get a glass of water.
BACK TO ALPHA's POV
"That was kinda harsh, what did the poor girl ever do to you" Mate said, her voice cracked and dry, as I looked down to see that her eyes were open. I quickly grabbed the glass of water and handed it to her without making eye contact. I didn't want to know that she hated me. "Thank you" she said after gulping down the glass. "Boy using powers really does take a lot out of you." she said with an awkward laugh. I had only then just looked up at her. She was beautiful.
She had medium length wavy brown hair, she had brown/hazel eyes and she was only 5'5 while I was 6'2 but I like short girls anyway. I didn't know if she would be comfortable in the clothes I brought when I thought she was a rouge, so I had my sister change her into one of my T-shirts. That made her look even better in my opinion.
"I-I'm sorry about that, I d-didn't know you would..." She cut me off.
"Don't even worry about it. How were you supposed to know? I mean heck, I didn't even know!" she said looking into my eyes. "besides, I like having an idea of what I can do. I was bullied my whole life so it's good to know I have something that I can defend myself with since they never let me train with the pack." she had told me but all my wolf needed to know was that our mate was bullied by her old pack.
"Alright, well maybe when you get better we can include you on our pack trainings and then pay your old bullies a visit. You in?" I asked mostly serious.
"Hell yeah! How about now!?" Mate yelled as she tried to get up. I pushed her down in her bed.
"You are still healing you can't get up." I said still holding her down.
"But I wanna exploreeeeeeee" she replied pouting a little.
"Fine." Is all I said before swooping her up and carrying her bridal style. "Where to first" I asked as I opened the door to and angry Jessi staring at me. "Ooops." Is all I said.
"First you go back to bed, then you drink your water, then you get some sleep." Jessi said sternly, handing me the glass of water.
"But technically she is resting. She's resting in my arms." I said and gave her a slight smile before shoving past her to show mate her new home.
Kat's POV
I wonder what Alpha plans to do with me. I mean he can't tell anyone without my permission so what did he tell the pack doctor? I need to go back to my pack house and grab my things though. I just don't know how Kris would react if he were still in my room, or came into my room, and saw me packing to leave. I need to though. What right would he have anyway? He was going to reject me! It's none of his business what I do after that or how I deal with it. This is his own damn fault!
