Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time

KAT'S POV

I was just getting out of the shower when I heard a knock at my door. I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around myself as I went to open it. There was a guy standing there, his eyes flashed black when he saw me, which I can't really blame him for I was only wearing a towel, and he averted his eyes quickly. It's weird though he seemed familiar. I mean I have been making breakfast for the pack maybe thats where I saw him.

"Hi, my name is Zachariah but most people call me Zach. I overheard that you were training today during breakfast and I was wondering if I could be your partner in the fight." He said shyly looking anywhere but at me.

"Hey Zach, I'm Kat. By partner do you mean fighting against me or like a team up kinda thing?" I asked. I really didn't want to fight him, he seemed like a nice guy and I really only fight the jerks that think they're all that.

"Which ever you prefer." He said looking down at his shoes. At least I know he has manners, but it gets a bit weird when the person you are talking to won't even glance up at you.

"We can work as a team if you'd like?" I asked.

"Sounds good, sorry to interrupt your shower. I'll see you at training then?" he asked like he was surprised I said yes.

"It's fine," I laughed, "Yeah I'll see you there!" I said and he finally looked up at me. He didn't let his eyes linger like Kris or Spencer would have, which I found quite refreshing, but instead his eyes met mine and he smiled. It wasn't a fake smile, it reached his eyes, he seemed genuinely happy.

We heard a slight growl from down the hallway. Kris was standing down there looking like he would slaughter Zach if he wasn't gone in 3.5 seconds.

"Well I think that's my cue to leave. Catch you later, love." He said with a wave and headed down the stairs glaring down the hall at Kris who was giving him the death glare.

"Kris, it's fine he just had a question." I said poking my head out and looking down the hallway where he stood he walked up to me and rolled his eyes.

"And you couldn't put a shirt on at least?" He asked shoving past me and closing my door.

"Well I could have but then what would you have to complain about?" I said jokingly as he rummaged through my closet.

"Put this on and lets get you ready." He said laying out my exercise clothes.

"Alright, alright, it's just training, sheesh" I said grabbing the clothes and heading to the bathroom to change. I heard another knock at my door and mind linked Kris.

'Can you get that?' I asked but of course he was already on it.

"Hey Spencer, Kat's in the bathroom getting dressed for training. Can it wait?" He asked but Spencer was already in and heading for the door to the bathroom. "Okay, guess not." Kris sighed as he shut the door.

I finished dressing right as he opened the door. "Hey what the hell?! I'm trying to change here!" I yelled as he pulled me into a hug, then examined me.

"What's wrong?" I asked no longer angry just worried. his mind flashed to a picture of a note. "Keep an eye on your mate, she may not remain yours for long."

"I think I got a note threatening your life. You are to stay in my view or in Kris' until we get this straightened out alright?" he said pulling me into another hug.

"Of course, but I'm still going to pack training." I said pulling away from the hug. He pouted a bit but agreed. : went out and sat down by the mirror and Kris did my hair. I'm not sure why because it's just going to get messed up anyways, I think it calms him down honestly.

I went down to the kitchen to make some snacks for us before training. I had just gotten the Watermelon plated when Natalie walked in. Kris and Spencer came in a few minutes after her. They all started munching as I cleaned up the mess. We finished up and headed out. Zach met up with us on the way to the field.

"Alpha, Luna." He said bowing his head respectfully.

"Kat." I said poking him on the chest. He nodded and walked next to me. Kris was glaring at him the whole way over and Spencer kept eyeing him like he recognized him from somewhere as well. So it's not just me.

We started out running, like we always do, I was ahead, like always. Zach was behind me but still ahead of the pack. I focused in on Natalie's thoughts for a few minutes and almost burst out laughing.

'How the hell are they running so fast, we're over here almost dying and he is still pushing through and going ahead and she isn't even breaking a sweat! What the actual fuck even Alpha Spencer is struggling, his eyes are practically popping out of his head!'

I looked back and it was true. Spencer looked like he was going to have a heart attack, but despite that him and Kris were leading the group, other than Zach and I. I decided to give them a break and stop after we made it back to the front of the pond. we all had ten minutes of rest then we got ready to fight. I had Kris let everyone know Zach and I were teaming up for the day so we could be challenged by multiple people at the same time.

Natalie was about to volunteer but I linked her and told her that it would be a mistake and she should wait to see how we do before she tries to take us on. Kris  was going to pick one of his warriors and one of Spencers' but I told him we could handle 5.

"Are you crazy? You're going to get yourself killed!" Spencer said shaking his head.

"Don't threaten me with a good time."  I said, laughing, as I watched Kris select three of his warriors and two of Spencer's. This should be fun.

When the match started the warriors were smart about it. They went for Zach first knowing I would try to defend him because I'm not sure how good of a fighter he is. I froze the group but left the bystanders unfrozen to watch. I walked over to one of the warriors, I recognized him so I know it's one of Kris'.

I imagined a cane in my hand and as soon as it appeared I hit him over the head with it and he was on the ground unfrozen. I looked over to Natalie and her mouth was dropped so low an alligator could have waltzed on in. I was able to take three out (Including the first one) before time unfroze.

One was now focused on me and the other on Zach. I grabbed the warriors arm and twisted it behind his back. I flipped him over but he quickly recovered and was on his feet again within seconds. I looked at him and smiled evilly. He flinched as my hair burned black and white flames. I waved my hand while keeping the same smile and I pointed at him then flew my hand towards a tree and away he went hitting his back against it and getting knocked out. I looked over towards Zach as the flames died out.

Zach was pinned up against a tree as his opponent was choking him. Zach was fading fast. I blinked over to one side of the guy pinning Zach tapped his shoulder then blinked to the other side. He turned to the side I tapped then to the side I was at and right when he did I punched him in the face and he went down. These guys really need some better warriors.

I heard movement behind me and when I turned around Sarah was headed at me pulling out a knife. I saw Zach materialize in front of me an block her knife, he twisted her arm around and she went down to the ground. Spencer, Kris, Natalie, Destiny, and Savanna all ran out of the crowd and the three girls gathered around me Spencer pulled Zach up by his shirt and slammed him against the tree while Kris took his place pinning Sarah and grabbing the knife.

Like I said, you don't know what complicated even is." I said looking in the general direction of Natalie but zoning out. And this is the part where I am on the ground blind. GREAT! *Note the Sarcasm*
