Kat's POV
I ran down to the infirmary and, just as I turned the, she started seizing. Mike quickly jumped out of his chair and ran over to her. I did the same, minus the chair part and it was more of a confident walk. I placed my palm on her forehead slowly.
"Open your eyes, daughter." She stopped seizing and listened. Her eyes darted around the room until they found, and rested on, me and she relaxed. Mike looked confused, probably wondering why I had called her daughter. Understandable..I guess? "You will no longer fight your awakening. Your sister is dead," I said rather harshly, "there is no bringing her back, but there is no joining her either. Your sister has betrayed her kind, and her goddess. She is no longer welcome in the otherworld. Not even in death would you be reunited with her." I had informed her without an ounce of guilt.
We waited about ten minutes and a tear fell down the side of her face. I picked her up as though she weighed nothing and walked out into the hallway. Spencer rose and tried to take Sarah from my arms. A glowing orb surrounded me and had us floating. I would have wondered why had Spencer not have tried to reach through the orb and shouted out in pain as sparks flew off of it.
I carried her to the mental testing room, (that I did not know we had so how the heck, I don't know), set her down in the chair and the orb slowly faded. I continued on with a straight face, not acknowledging the 'What the fuck' look Spencer was giving me as he appeared in the doorway.
I grabbed the thermometer and first took her temperature. She remained silent, and unmoving as I scrolled it across her head. she had a slight fever. 99.6 so it wasn't very important. I inspected her wounds, only one of them remained. I got some of the antibiotics and gave her one to prevent infection.
"You are going to need a lot of water. You need to rest for a few hours then I expect you to be in pack training with the others. You will not leave the property until you tell me what you are planning, and no I don't mean what you are planning to do if it involves you going to the mall with your friends I mean your ultimate plan, understand me?" She nodded once, still not meeting my gaze. It pissed me off, she just tried to kill herself and she couldn't look at me?
"Look at me when I speak to you!" I said trying to sound like a stern but loving mother, instead I sounded like and abusive one. I saw her fear before I felt the flames, as she looked up at me I saw the different colors of white's and grey's reflecting in her eyes. Obviously I couldn't see the black, but I knew it was there.
"What the hell, Kat?!" Spencer said as Sarah's look of horror grew and spread. Spencer ran over and shielded Sarah from me as the white faded and turned to grey and the black seemed to swallow it until there was only black and a tiny sliver of grey outlining it. I could see it happening in my head. What is wrong with me?
Hey guys! We are almost at 3,000 reads and I am so excited! Thank you guys so much for reading! I'm sorry the chapters have gotten shorter and the updates take longer, but I have a lot to do. I have to keep my grades up, I have homework and all that good stuff, then I need to do chores at home and keep an eye out for my friends and I need time to relax as well or I'll waste away to nothing. I have also been getting sick a lot recently, I think it's due to stress, and trying to stay socially active (and failing at it). It is all very difficult. I think I wanna quit life and just live online, what do you think? Anyways thanks for reading, I hope you liked it and I'll update as soon as possible. I love you guys! Have a blessed be!
