My Best Friend Rejected Me

We Meet Again Wife >:(

(( [NO SPOILER I PROMISE!] OKAY! So guys I am just going to explain the title of this chapter right now, I was naming the chapter "We Meet Again" and then I had to explain something to a friend of mine, then another friend grabbed my computer, so I nickname all my friends and her nickname is wife, and so  when I got it back she had added "Wife >:(" into the title and I'm not gonna take it out. Thankies that is all. ))

KAT'S POV

I woke up before everyone else, as always, and made breakfast. I ate two plates as usual and made Spencer two as well. The first one down was a girl I had recognized. She was there the first day I woke up here. She left the plates of food for Spencer and I when I stole his bacon! I never did get her name though.

"Hey it's you!" I said as she looked around the already set table with plates full of food on it.

"Yeah, you were in the infirmary with Spencer right?" she said while taking a bite of bacon.

"Yup that's me, he's my mate actually!" I said looking over at her as I did the dishes that were empty of food. "Oh, my name is Kat by the way." I said as I took her now empty plate to the sink.

"Mines Natalie, nice to meet you! Thanks for the grub by the way. You usually make the breakfast around here now, right?" She asked as more pack members flooded in.

"Yeah, and don't mention it, you can say its payback for the food you brought me and Spencer." I said smiling brightly at her.

"Yeah but that's my job," she laughed, "I volunteer at the infirmary and I get to help people out, that's not really a fair trade. I'll help you make breakfast from now on if you'd like." She offered smiling.

"Well if you're going to be working in here with me we are going to need to start getting more bacon because cooks and alpha's get two helpings, and since Kris is probably going to start joining us now we need more anyway." I said laughing.

"Who's Kris?" She asked looking up at me. Her face showed humor but she thought I was cheating on Spencer in all reality.

"He is my- or was my first mate. He was going to reject me, I went for a run, found my second mate, and then I rejected Kris. Not sure how it'll all play out but you know, life."

"Oh wow, that sounds...complicated." She said apologetically. I burst out into an endless laughter while she looked at me like I was a ghost.

"Sorry it's just, you don't know the half of it. If you thought THAT was complicated just wait." I said after I could, you know, breathe and shit. "Are you going to the guest packs training session? That's where I train, if you want to see something really complicated you should come with me." I said giving her a look like 'Do you really wanna get involved with this shit?'

"Yeah sure! I'd love to see you fight against all the guys. They all seem to wanna destroy you in battle and I'd like to know why." She said smiling as we washed the dishes of the guys who were so obviously listening in on our conversation. One guy started rubbing his temples and yelled at us.

"Do you guys have to talk so damn loud?! Just shut it!"

"If we talk any lower you won't be able to hear us." I said looking at them all sternly as they looked down in shame. Kris and Spencer walked in at looking amused.

"That was a little harsh-" Kris started.

"Don't ya think?" Spencer finished.

"Nope!" I said walking up to Spencer and kissed his cheek, then turned to Kris. He smiled shyly down at the ground. I grabbed his hand and pulled him into a hug, he seemed surprised but responded almost instantly. I opened my eyes to look up at Spencer and he was smiling but his eyes were darkening so I decided to pull away.

"You okay, hun?" Kris said looking me up and down. He looked worried.

"Yeah I'm fine, just I don't want things to be weird, okay? You were my best friend before any of this and I don't want that to change. Do you think it can still be like that?" I asked. He had kept hold of my hands, I kept glancing over at Spencer, he stopped smiling when Kris called me hun but he didn't say anything about it, which I was thankful for.

"Of course, whatever you want Kat, you know I'd never leave you." He said smiling.

"Welp, Natalie this is my first mate Kris, and you already know Alpha Spencer obviously." I said turning around to face her but still keeping a tight grip on Kris' hand. I looked up to Spencer, he was eyeing our hands but smiled when he noticed me looking.

"Actually I've never had the pleasure of meeting him in person. Good morning Alpha, may I have permission to join you guys and watch Kat during training?" She said bowing her head respectfully during the greeting. Spencer looked to me as if asking permission. I nodded once and regained his power look.

"You may. Have you been made aware of her condition or is she saving that for later?" Natalie looked to me questioningly.

"Condition? Are you sick Luna?" she asked stepping forward but before she could touch me Spencer and Kris stepped in front of me, blocking her view of me. I turned around at the gaping pack members and mouthed 'Alphas' while shaking my head.

"Stand down boys, she's a friend, and besides if she wanted me dead she would have poisoned me the first day I arrived." I said stepping between them to Natalie. "No I'm not sick, just...special. Mentally and physically...well technically mentally turns into physically so just mentally?" I asked turning to face the boys as the shrugged and nodded. "By the way, call me Kat, Luna makes me sound old."

"I'm lost?" Natalie said scrunching up her face.

"You'll understand during training." I said and turned to the doorway, "Y'all got me off schedule, I have to go shower, Natalie don't you dare lift a finger in this kitchen, the boys will handle it, since they are the reason it is not done already, won't you, boys?" I didn't phrase it as a question but they started to argue anyway.

"But-" They both started but I cut them off with one look they both nodded once "Yes ma'am." they said.

"Thankies! See you guys soon!" I said sweetly as Natalie and the group of boys burst into tears from laughing.

Hey Guys! I know I just updated yesterday but it took forever and I usually don't update on the weekends so I usually update on Fridays so here it is! Also this chapter is a longer one as well so don't kill me! I brought the girl back, I still have two more to bring so stay tuned and we'll see what happens! How do y'all think Natalie will react when she realizes just how "Special" Kat is? Hope you guys liked the chapter, I'll update as soon as possible, I love you guys so much and thank you all for reading! I also have a thing I'm really excited about that has nothing to do with the story but The 5th Wave is at my local Family Video and I read the books and I want to see it and I'm really excited X'D thank you that is all.
