My Best Friend Rejected Me

Where is home?

Kat's POV

"I'm going to be fine!" I yelled at alpha. I still haven't gotten his name but he hasn't gotten mine either so I guess we are even.

"Jessi said you need to rest!" He shouted back at me. He wasn't going to let me go get my things.

"I slept for 5 hours just a minute ago! I will be fine!" I yelled getting super annoyed that he thinks he can control me. I don't like being told what to do. He was about to say something but before he could open his mouth I took the opportunity to focus on how much I wanted to be at home. I opened my eyes and I was flashing back and forth between pack houses. I caught a glimpse of alpha's face, he looked worried. I timed it right and thought about staying where I was and I was at home in my room.

I hurriedly packed my things in my suitcase and was bout to blink out when Kris came from the bathroom. He had tears streaming down his face and when he saw me he just about lost his shit. Speaking of bathroom, I shoved past him and grabbed my stuff from there and put them in a plastic baggy. I came back out and grabbed my suitcase preparing to blink out again.

Kris looked down at my suitcase. "Where are you going?" He asked as if he had the right.

"None of your damn business." I replied.

"You are still my mate Kat. I care about you. I was going to reject you at first so that I could protect you from the pack..."

"Protect me? What by hurting me even more? By killing me inside because I no longer have my best friend? Yeah, whatever. Fuck your lame excuses Kris" I said his name like it left a sour taste in my mouth, "I'm leaving and I'm not coming back this time." 

"I THOUGHT THEY WOULD KILL YOU KAT! I realized I was wrong outside the school. I was going to tell them you were my mate, thus telling you, but they shoved past me first. I have been hoping we were mates since I first met you Kat. I love you!" He said as more tears fell down his face. I walked up to him and wiped his tears. He tilted his head down so that his forehead was resting on mine.

"The fact that you had any doubt at all means that we shouldn't be together." I said as my eyes gathered tears that have yet to fall. I wasn't sure if I could blink out with my suitcase because of the back and forth incident earlier but I tried I blinked to the other side of my cracked open bedroom door. I looked in and saw shock on Kris' face. I was about to blink back and grab it when I fell to the floor and everything was black. Again I could still hear though. Not this again! I thought as I heard Kris open the door and started to panic.

"Oh my God Kat! Are you okay?" He asked.

"Do I fucking look okay to you?" I said, hey at least I could talk this time, "I can't see. I used up too much energy today. Get me to the bed. I need a glass of water and some food and then I need about five hours to nap." I told him just as Jessi had told me.

I woke up from my nap and it was 5 am. I had slept for 13 hours! That was way over when I told Kris to wake me! I sat up in bed and saw Kris lying on the floor asleep. Great! I left another note. "Gone back home. Thanks for explaining. Hope we are still friends. P.S. I said five hour nap not 13! Love always Kat" and I grabbed my suitcase and bag and blinked out.

I was back to the spot I had the blinking incident and got a cold chill. I stepped away from it and felt fine. I blinked upstairs and put my suitcase in my closet. I saw a lump in my bed. I knew I didn't have the wrong room  I remember focusing on MY room. I walked over to it and saw alpha. He looked like he had been crying a little. I jumped up on the bed and when that didn't wake him up I started to kiss his neck. He responded almost immediately, and was on top of me while he looked at me with his black eyes.

I just stared at him not sure what to do. He wasn't doing anything for me to tell him to stop, or push him off and I didn't want to tell him to get off because hearing my voice would just encourage his wolf, so I just stared up into his eyes until they flashed back to their greenish, hazel, brown color. He climbed off of me and apologized. I was a little uncomfortable but accepted the apology because it was kinda my fault.

"What the hell happened to you?! Do you realize how fucking worried I was?!" alpha shouted in my face after I had told him not to worry about it.

"I was at my old pack house." I didn't mention my other mate, I didn't want alpha to be upset, "I was going to blink back but I didn't have enough energy after the incident with me blinking back and forth uncontrollably. I tried but I went temporarily blind, an old friend helped me get to my bed and gave me some food and water. I slept for about 13 hours and came back here."

"I told you not to go, mate. What happened even?" Alpha said. I am sure I looked a little guilty but I'm hoping he thought it was just because I disobeyed him.

"Well I thought about going home and I guess I have two homes because I was blinking back and forth between here and there. I never really got to know where here is actually." I said looking around "My last pack was in Columbus Ohio, where is  this?"

"Thats weird...Oh and we are in Galion Ohio. Pretty small town but we are a pretty strong pack so It's fine by us." Alpha said shrugging his shoulders. "Thats kinda cool actually, we have a pack coming in for some help with the Rouge pack that are in Columbus. I wonder if it's the same pack you are from." I hope not.

"Rouge pack????" I asked Rouges were rouges because they went rouge from their pack. Having a pack of rouges would probably destroy everything.

"Yeah, all the rouges are gathering up and forming their own pack, they are targeting the packs that have harmed them first and then working their way up. We are taking in and protecting a pack that is being targeted. We are going to help them train. You will be joining us if you rest until they get here." He told me. I smiled brightly at him and crawled into bed with him to go to sleep. Good that saves me the trouble of having to ask you to sleep in here" he said with a laugh. His laugh was just breath taking. Literally I think I stopped breathing for a minute.

"Goodnight alpha.." I said as I drifted of to sleep I heard him chuckle

"The names Spencer, mate." and he pulled me around the waist over to him.

"I'm......Kat.." Was all I could say before I drifted off to sleep.
