Natsu Dragneel knew he was a half demon and Zeref's little brother from the start. He trained with Igneel, and also joined the Fairy Tail guild.
He thought it will be all fine by just wearing a fake personality or a mask, just to cover up...

"Natsu, what are we doing here again?" Happy asked me. I brought out the gem I pulled out the cave and it glowed once again. The dark cave, was now lighted with the glowed gems on the wall. I once followed the glowing gems and it lead me to a door.
The door has a different kind of color of gem but same size.

I push the door little and peek on it. No one is there so it means it's safe to go inside.
I got inside and it was just like an ordinary dark cave but with torches on. I saw a throne on the end of the cave. The gem on my hand glowed brighter than before and I walk over the throne. It was a dragon throne I think since it has the dragon design.
