Our day out shopping wasn't as much fun as we had hoped. The only good thing to come from it was that Amy and I tried to be civil to one another. We sit in silence most of the drive back, I take the opportunity to rest, my head still hurting after last nights drinking fest.
I'm jolted forward as Amy brings the car to a sudden stop. We are back at Paige's house and I'm determined to have a good time. There is music already pumping and about half a dozen extra cars.
Paige turns to me excited. "Looks like the party has started without us." She giggles. I'm in awe of her, if this had been my house I would have totally flipped. Amy doesn't seem to care. Both of them rush inside leaving me alone. Not that I mind. Going back inside would mean me having to face both Levi and Cayn, neither of which sounded appealing.
There is a sound of a motorbike, it is pulling up in front of Paige's home. At first I figure it is another guest however the person just sits there. A finger points at me, beckoning me to come over. I glance around, surely they were seeking someone else. There is only us. Hesitating for a moment I finally make my way towards the stranger.
"Are you lost?" I ask.
"No." Comes a rather rugged male voice from behind the helmet.
"Are you here to see Paige?" Maybe he is her secret lover, I think to myself with a smile. All those times she ditched me might have been for whoever was behind the helmet.
"No." He states and now I am really confused.
"Ok then well nice knowing ya." I say turning around.
"Lilly Vale." The man calls out.
I stand there, shell-shocked. "How do you know my name?"
"Jude." He tells me. There is a moments, silence before I realize he has no intention of elaborating.
"Ok so you know who I am but who are you?" He lifts the visor of his helmet to reveal the bluest brightest eye's I've ever seen.
"Lilly." I hear Cayn call out as he starts jogging towards me.
"Next time." The stranger on the bike tells me. There is a roar of the engine as the bike speeds off down the road just before Cayn reaches us.
"Who the hell was that?" He snaps at me. Cayn is fuming.
"I don't know, never met him before."
"Damn, cursed ones." He spits. "You really don't know who that was?" He grabs my arms.
"I seriously have no idea who that was but Cayn you've got to back off. I think last night proved we just aren't meant to workout. I can do and talk to whom ever I want so let go of now."
"Oh really, you know you can be a real bitch."
The words sting. "You want me to leave." I ask feeling guilty.
"No, it's just that you seemed a little all over the place." He sucks in a deep breath. "I don't blame you for last night. You had drunk too much and I was pushing things. I get that."
"So why the freeze out this morning?"
For the first time I watch as Cayn blushes. "Cus every time I look at you all I can see is your naked body, lying on the bed, letting me touch you."
Now it's my turn to have my cheeks turn bright red. "Fair enough." I manage to say. "Why did you come out here? You couldn't have known I was talking to someone so was there something you wanted to talk to me about or was it just a coincidence that you came out here?"
