Paige has tied me up to a chair. Apparently she didn't trust me not to try and escape. We are so, not ever going to be best friends again. Nope. Never. Cayn will be arriving soon leaving me with little chance of escape. My heart is pounding.

"Lilly, Lilly, oh sweet Lilly." Cayn has arrived. Paige isn't far behind him. His new puppy dog I suspect.

"Cayn can you please untie me?"

"You tied to escape which means you know something? What do you know?" He has pulled up a seat across from me.

"I have no clue what's going on here. Someone tried to kill me and now you have me tied up and wont let me leave. Why?" I exclaimed. Paige is standing just off the side to him, cracking her knuckles. She looks pissed. Good. So am I.

"Please Lilly, try not to lie to me."

"Fine. There is a killer on the loose. I still hate you both. You and Levi are brothers. ...take your pick." I tell him wishing I could flip him off. He used me. He was planning to do God knows what to me. Both him and Levi were guilty only problem was that I still cared for Levi.

"Ha." He scoffs. "I'd hardly call us that. As for the killer...well we are working on that." He cocks his head to the side. "But that is not all." He is eyeing me carefully.

"Seriously Cayn, let me go." I demand.

"I can't, it's for your own good."

"You can go and rot in Hell." I spit at him. A sharp sting ripples the side of my face. I turn to see a smug looking Paige.

"Tell me what else you know Lilly?" Cayn is just sitting there. The guy, who had fought to save me, seemed ok with his new puppy hitting me. I refuse to talk. Not because I care what they know but it is one of the few things I can control in this situation.

There is a twinkle in Cayn's eyes. "Would you still be silent if you knew the truth? Don't you want to know why this is happening?"

Of course I wanted to know. "Why?" I try to sound as if I don't care. He lets loose a boisterous laugh.

"Of course you want to know. You are just like us. Never satisfied until you have what you want. Would you do anything to know?"

"I know you want to take me somewhere, a place that Levi doesn't want me to go." I snap revealing more then I had hoped.

"I knew you had heard more then I had wished, still that is nothing compared to the truth. To know why."

I grind my teeth. "Either tell me or stop talking about it, I am over your games."

"Fine, fine." Laughing at my burst of rage. "You remember how you once asked me about your father..." he said softly, leaning in so as if he were telling me a secret. "Well I lied to you, I knew him, had for an eternity. Your father is part of the council of the Order, what humans call angels. He is one of few from the Order that can visit down here and he had a torrid affair with your mother, the queen of Hell. He had her killed, and you hunted. For all these years you have been under our protection until the time would come. You need to claim your birthright. How is that for the truth."

I glare at him, daggers flying from my eyes. "I will never claim that birthright."

Cayn's phone is ringing. He ignores it. One minute later his phone is ringing again. He tosses it to Paige.

"Hello?" she says. Cayn hasn't taken his eyes off me, his fingers tapping on the table. The sound is as irritating as Hell. I crack a smile...Hell. Cayn raises an eyebrow but doesn't ask me why. He is listening to Paige.
