The dream I feared was about to begin. The figure of the half man half beast stood there like a shadowy figure. I despised talking to 'it'.
"So you're still here, I see" the voice was different to the usual one, this was far more sinister, making me feel sick. Snakes slithered around my feet there cool bodies at times connecting with mine. I closed my eyes not wishing to participate.
The beast moved closer I could hear the sound of his hoofs. The snakes separated, making a path for the beast to move through. The long curled nails scratching my neck as he lifted my chin.
"Open your eyes sweet child, gaze upon what you know runs through your blood."
Against my will they opened as I looked into the face of a-a-a demon. I stumbled backwards, tripping over my feet. This wasn't happening. I pinched myself surely I would wake up. A scream escaped from my lips, I wanted to wake up. Now. It laughed at me, moving forward.
"Yes... see you know what I am, don't you?" He whispered in my ear as he dragged me back up to my feet.
"No." I lied, not just to him but to myself. His laugh was mocking now and absolutely terrifying. He knew I was lying.
"You do know I heard it in your mind. You are right, I am a demon but so are you, well partly."
"No" I yelled "this is a dream and I will wake soon."
"Leave this place or I swear that I will destroy everything and everyone you love." The beast spat as he spoke, a little bit of spit hitting my skin. Now I really wanted to be sick. Crouching down into a tiny ball I closed my eyes whispering the words "this is only a dream" over and over again.
A thunderous sound smashed my eardrums halting the dreams progression. Someone or something else moved into this horrific nightmare. I lifted my head carefully so that I could peek out. Finally his crystal blue eyes locked onto mine. No longer was I stuck in an almost catatonic state of perpetual fear. Finally I was free moving towards the one with the blue eyes, my protector. Even though I was close to him white light emanated from his body shielding me from seeing anything more than his eyes.
"Thank-you but am I still dreaming?" I whispered he nodded. I felt blissfully calm every part of my body was relaxed.
"Lilly" my protector breathed. "You must leave this place at once."
"Why"
"Because you must, there are dangers here and more are coming."
"What dangers?" I asked not as concerned as I should have been. It was hard to have the correct amount of worry around him. Somewhere inside was a little voice telling me to heed this advice and yet it was hard to care about what may happen.
"You're special, one who was created from both the fallen and the order, yet because you were born on Earth you have human qualities."
"Ok I must be crazy; this dream is just a manifestation of my craziness."
"No it isn't. You are in essence the perfect Being. You are a balanced form of all three the fallen, the order and humans, it is because of that that you can destroy everything.." the voice hesitated "There's a belief that if you have a child by either a member of the fallen or the order, it'll have the power to destroy the opposing force. The fallen are known as demons and the order of the light are also known as angels on Earth."
"What would that mean?"
"It would mean death to all humans and either the demons or the angels." It hesitated again as debating how much information to share. "Your blood speaks to both dark and light. We can feel the power and promise within you. You are a danger Lilly, you have the power to bring death."
