Thin lines between love and hate

Chapter 12

Monday morning
Dominique's POV:
I woke up this morning excited and ready to go to school and to most definitely see Ray, ever since the kiss at the park on Saturday I have been thinking about him not stop and we've been hanging out a lot more too. I picked out what I was going to wear today, got a towel and wash cloth and took my shower. After that I dried off  and put on my clothes then I headed down stairs to eat breakfast. I made a bowl of cereal and sat down at the table with my sisters  "good morning " I said smiling "morning" they said back "so where's mom and dad, I thought they were staying home today" I said wondering "they had a last minute meeting to go to but mom said they should be back before we got home from school" Simone said back. After sitting at the table with nothing much to talk about we finished our breakfast, gathered our things and headed to the bus stop. We arrived at the bus stop a little later but when we got there Dierra was already already there but Ray wasn't with her. " hey" I said to her "hey" she said back "I thought Ray said he was coming to school today" I said wondering why he didn't want to show up "he said he changed his mind and wanted to stay home, something about giving you some space is what he said, but I don't know the whole story on why he didn't want to come today" she said " oh ok" I said. I was really disappointed that he didn't want to come today but maybe he really did need some time to himself and I don't blame him either.

We arrived at school and I headed straight to math class but I was stopped in my tracks when Jessica walked up to me. "Well, well, well if it isn't miss Dominique" she said pushing me slightly while her little crew stood behind her laughing " what do want Jessica, I'm sick and tired of being bothered by you ok so just leave me alone" I said clinching my fist about to punch this b•••• in her face " what are going to do if I don't" she said pushing me and I did what I never thought I would do...I punched her so hard in the face she fell to the floor and looked at me with complete shock "I can't believe hit me" she said but honestly didn't care, she started it and I finished "that's what you get, so I hope we're on the same page with this issue ok so let me just make this clear" I said kneeling down next to to her " the next time you think about messing with me or Ray remember this moment ok because I would hate for something terrible to happen to you and don't ever forget this because the next time won't be just a punch ok...get it, got it, good" I said feeling stronger than Ive ever been before, I got my things and headed to class.

She wasn't about ruin my day...

Ray's POV:
I know that I was planning on going to school today but I just didn't like it, I needed some space and so did Dominique. I know she was expecting me o go to school today as well because we have been hanging out a lot more since the kiss we shared at the park, but with everything going on I needed some more time to think and lately all I've been doing is thinking. I decided to go back to sleep instead, hopefully I will be more open minded when I wake back up.
