Chapter 39

The next day:
Dominique's POV:
I finally get to go home today!!! On the only problems been with that is I have to be on crutches got a few days, possibly a week, but I should be glad; the accident could have been worse. My parent were on there way to be come and get me but I'm the mean time I'll just wait I'm this room dying of boredom. I wonder what Ray's doing, probably bored himself. I decided to take a nap before my parent got here but I guess that's not going to happen because there was a knock at my door. "Come in" I yelled, but only loud enough for my parents to hear me. To my surprise it wasn't them, it was Ray "hey" he said as he entered the room taking a chair and placing it next to my bed "hi" I replied back, to be honest I was kind of nervous of nervous to talk to him "are you feeling any better" he asked "yeah I'm ok, what about you" I asked "I'm fine, just worried about you that's all" he said, my cheeks began to become hot. I don't think I've ever blushed this hard before "you don't have to worry about me, I'm fine" I said "Dominique how could I not worry about you, you were trapped in a burning building for who knows how long, and besides all that, I always thought about you, and I'm always going to. I couldn't find the right time to tell you this but Dominique I still you, I'm IN love with; despite the fact that we broke up due to very harsh issues in our relationship, I'm willing to do better with you, it's been a long 3 months and I want our relationship to be stronger than what it was" (sorry that hadn't been mentioned sooner) he said, I felt dealt tears begin to run down my face. "You mean that" I asked, he whipped my tears "absolutely" he replied back as he stood up to give me a kiss, a long, passionate kiss "I love you" he replied "I love you too baby" I replied back to return the kiss he gave, right before we got interrupted "what are you two doing" my dads voice boomed through the room as he entered "Jacob"my mother's voice used in the same tone as she entered the room after him "hey you two" my mom said "hey" I replied back embarrassed by what just happened "I see your feeling a whole lot better now" she said "oh my gosh" I mumbled as I covered my fave with my hand; I heard Ray chuckle "I'll see you later ok" he said removing himself from the chair "ok, later" I replied giving him a quick peck on the lips before he left "don't get your boyfriend hurt now ok" my dad said as my mom smacked him upside the head "don't mind your father sweetie, he's just being..." I cut her her off "overprotective" I said making eye contact with my father "that may be so but I just want you to be safe, that's all" he said walking over to the side of my bed and placing a kiss on my forehead "and I love you for it dad, but can you at least relax about it, please" I said giving him my puppy dog eyes "I can never say no to that face, can I" he asked looking down at me "nope, so you agree to take your overprotective side down a little" I asked; he sighed "yes" he said "thank you, I appreciate it" I said as he rolled his eyes "I'm going to wait in car the ok" he said leaving the room "ok" my mom replied back just before he actually left "so are you ready to go" she asked handing me my close "absolutely" I said with great enthusiasm; she chuckled as she handed me my clothes; she handed me my t-shirt and sweats. I put on my shirt while she held my pants "ok I think I might need some help with this" I told her as she helped me stand up; she handed me my pants "take your time" she said, I put my leg in first and then the left leg 'easy...easy...ok' I told myself as I finally got my leg through the pants "alright, I'm ready to go" I said as she handed me my crutches and we headed out to the front desk, sign my release papers and head home.

Ray's POV:
I finally arrived home and was a little to excited for some reason, maybe it's because Dominique and I finally decided to push past our differences and give our relationship another mm shot, I honestly don't know what I would do if I ever lost her. After thinking about me and her I decided to text her.

Text convo:
Me: hey babe
Dominique: hi 😋
Me: how are you feeling
Dominique: I'm ok, my ankle hurts though 😢
Me: baby, you'll be fine. How about tomorrow I come visit
Dominique: I'd like that 😋😊☺️
Me: alright then, I'll see you tomorrow. I love you 😘😍
Dominique: I love you baby 😘

Text convo over
After I finished texting Dominique I went and headed to the guess room to take a nap since my room is no longer my room. I was suddenly stopped by the sound of my mothers voice when she called my name "hey Ray, how are you feeling" she asked; she has a huge grin on her face "I'm fine, but why are you looking at me like that" I asked with a raised eyebrow, but I had a clue in where this was going. She's going to lecture me about on why I didn't tell her that Dominique and I are back together "well a little birdie told me that you and Dominique are back together, Ray why didn't me that you guys were back together" she asked. See what did I tell you "well I mean, I guess I was trying to find the right time to tell you" I said "well all I can say is that I'm happy for you, you showed great courage and I'm so very of you" she said "thanks, I know sometimes I've been hard-headed when it came to something like this but I really appreciate you and dad's help" I replied back "no problem" she Dias as she walked into the living room as I headed up the stairs once again back to the guest room. I couldn't wait to see Dominique tomorrow
