Thin lines between love and hate

Chapter 13

Ray's POV:
I woke back up at around 10:00 this morning, but intentionally I wanted to sleep a little later. I did my same morning routine, put on my clothes and headed downstairs where my mom was "good morning mom" I said " morning" she said back sipping some of her coffee while I fixed a bowl of cereal " Ray are you sure you don't want to go to school today" she asked " yes I'm sure" I said back and she just continued to look at me "mom, are you ok this morning" I asked wondering why she was looking at me the way she was "yeah, just thinking about some things that's all, nothing to be concerned about" she said sipping her coffee once more before putting her cup in the sink.

"Mom do you think I should have gone to school today" I asked my mother wanting to know her opinion "well that's your decision to make, your old enough now to make your own choices and not having to depend on me or your father, but I think you should have gone to school and its only... 10:30" my mom said looking at her watch "you still have time, so if you want to leave now I suggest you pack your things" she said grabbing her purse and car keys and headed out side while I ran up to my room to get my book bag and keys then I headed out side to the car locking the door behind me.

I knew when I got to school it would be the beginning of the 3rd period which I enjoy the most of all my classes because it was art. Art is my passion, k love to draw, paint, sculpt and do photography. I love the way art makes me feel, it keeps me concentrated and helps me relax especially when I'm upset or in a bad mood. We got to school and I said my goodbye to my mother and headed to the office to get my pass so I'm excused. When I got to art class and I immediately noticed Jessica and she a black eye, I don't know who did it but I'm glad they did because she was a b••••...for real. "Are you ok" I said try to contain my laughter " why don't you ask your girlfriend" she said with an attitude "I don't why your mad at me, I didn't do anything to you , but I suggest you check that attitude before I actually do something to and trust me you want that" I said walking away and making my way over to where Dominique was.

"Hey Dominique"  I said sitting down next to her " hey Ray" she said back "what happened to Jessica?" I asked her since Jessica told he to come and ask her "I punched her in the face" she said with no emotion what so ever "why, what she do" I asked interested in what she was about to say "I was on my way to math class minding my own business and her and her little crew were messing with me and I didn't like being bothered with and I told to leave me alone but she wouldn't and was like 'what are you going to do if I don't' so I straight up punched her in the face and gave her a piece of mind" she said with a sigh "Ray, you were absolutely right the situation, I shouldn't have let her get to me like that" she said hugging me and I hugged back, she smelled so good.

I will always love her no matter what...

Jessica's POV:
My plan obviously is no longer working, Dominique and Ray starting to get even closer and I won't have it. They may be happy now with their little relationship but I will get my revenge and ruin it someday, no matter how long it takes and that's a promise.

Dominique's POV:
The rest of the school day went by like that, but I didn't care I was ready to go home and get back in the bed. I was glad that Ray decided to come to school today, and I was glad that we were able to talk and have a normal conversation like we used to, it just made things seem easier between us and that's all I ever wanted from the beginning.
