Chapter 21

Dominique's POV:
I had a abominable headache this morning and I didn't feel like going anywhere, it was Saturday morning and I had stayed up all night studying for my exams for Monday and boy am I beat. I tried to go back to sleep but it wasn't working so I got up, picked out my clothes and took a nice long hot shower thinking it would make me feel better. After my shower, I dried off, put on my clothes and headed back to my room and just watched tv "why isn't there anything on TV on Saturday mornings" I mumbled to myself. I scrolled through the channels slowly wondering what would catch my attention when I came across the Chronicles of Narnia: the lion, the witch and the wardrobe, that was my movie, I watched it all the time as a kid. As I clicked on the movie I got a text from Ray.

Ray: hey baby, wyd
Me: watching the Chronicles of Narnia, still laying in bed
Ray: Wow, normally your up by this time
Me: yeah I know, but I don't feel good this morning 😢
Ray: I'm sorry to hear that baby, I know you wanted me to come over but are you sure your still up for it?
Me: babe I'm fine, you can still come over
Ray: are you sure?
Me: positive
Ray: ok, I'll be there later
Me: alright and make sure you bring a movie
Ray: what movie would you like to watch?
Me: do you have creed
Ray: yes
Me: ok, can you bring that please
Ray: absolutely
Me: thank you ☺️
Ray: your welcome sweetie, later
Me: later

After texting Ray my eyes starting getting heavy so I just decided to take a nap until he got here.

1 hour and 30 min. Later
I woke up and it was 5:30 "I must of had a really bad headache" I said mumbling to myself once more. I got up and headed my food cabinet and took out 2 granola bars, I wasn't really hungry but I needed to put something on my stomach. I was getting ready to go take a seat at the couch when I heard a knock at my door "coming" I said loud enough for the person to hear, but I figured it was Ray "hey" I said giving him a hug "hey, you feeling any better" he asked as I let him in "you could say that" I replied to him as I took a seat on the couch while he put the movie in. "Got any popcorn" Ray asked "I don't think so" I said as he went to check my cabinet "you need to buy some popcorn,for real" he said looking for something else we could snack on as I pressed play "these should do" he said bragging back some chocolate chip cookies,hot Cheetos and two cans of Root beer "that's fine" I said immediately reaching for the hot Cheetos as he sat down next to me, I grasped my blanket next to me and pulled it over my shoulders as he pressed play.

1 hour later
I must have really been exhausted, all that studying had me beat. I looked around and Ray wasn't there, then I took a glance at the coffee table to see a note.

I know you were looking forward to watching creed, but you seemed really exhausted and I wanted you to get some well needed rest, I can always come by another day; no need to rush

I really admired on how he was always looking out for me and making sure my needs were satisfied, he was highly appreciated.
