Chapter 29

Jessica's POV:
I decided to go visit my mother again
today. I feel like we need to discuss everything that has happened between us, but like she said I should check to make sure it's ok.

Text convo
Me: hey momma
Mom: hi
Me: I know we haven't been in the same page lately but I was wondering if I could come over today if that's ok with you
Mom: yeah you can come by but it has to be later. I have to go pick up some groceries.
Me: ok that's fine, just let me know when your done. I just really need to see you.
Mom: alright I will. Love you 😘
Me: luv you too 😘

Text convo over

Until my mother was ready to see me I decided to take a walk and clear my head. I gathered suitable clothes and took a shower. After my shower, I dried off and put on my clothes. I grabbed my jacket, phone and keys and headed out.

Dominique's POV:
Me and Ray were at the store looking for something to eat when someone called at me "Hey sexy" I turned around immediately feeling very uncomfortable "what do you want" I asked looking in each direction for a way of escape " I said to him "Oh come
on, a girl like you with a body like that is asking for it" the guy said coming up to me and running his finger down the side of my face causing me to jerk away "I have a boyfriend" I told him "I don't see him" he told me "Turn around, now you see him" Ray said. Boy was I glad to see him, I sighed will relief "why are you putting your hands on my girlfriend" Ray asked with an aggravated tone in his voice "well I figured since she was by herself she was single, but as for me I don't care if she was taken. I get what I want, when I want it" the guy told Ray and by the look on his face, it was not going to be a pleasant sight "oh really" Ray said and before the guy could even answer, Ray punched him in the face causing the guy to stumble. "Take the keys and go to the car" he told me handing his keys over to me. I left with no hesitation not even wanting to think about what would happen.

I got to the car and waited until Ray showed up "I hope he's ok" I mumbled to while tapping my foot rapidly against to the car floor. I was so distracted that I didn't even notice Ray  on the other side, his forehead and his lip were bleeding "oh baby, are ok" I said getting out of the car and running over to him, giving him a hug. He winced in pain "ow" he said "you are such an idiot " I said hitting him in the side where he was in pain "ow" he said again this time holding the area of where the hurt "sorry" I replied back "no, it's ok. I deserved it" he replied back "it's alright baby, now come on and let's get you checked out" I told him while I went back to the drivers seat while he took a seat in the passenger side.

Ray's POV:
At the Doctors
"Everything is good, no broken bones just a few cuts and bruises, but you'll be fine". The nurse said while putting a bandage on the side of my forehead "if you have any pain, just take this and make sure that it's every 6 hours, trust me you don't want an overdose" she told me handing me the pain pills "alright thanks" I replied back "your welcome" she said exiting the room just as Dominique walked in "so how is everything" she asked "good, no broken bones. Just a few cuts and bruises, that's all" I told her "glad to hear that because the next time you do something stupid like this, your bones will be broken and it's going to be by me" she said leaving the room as I trailed behind "harsh much" I mumbled to myself as we headed back to the car.

Jessica's POV:
"So what did you want to talk about?" My mother asked "pretty much everything, I mean we haven't been on the same page lately and I just feel like I ness to let those things go" I told her "but my main concern is why where you giving dad so much money mom, and also the fact that you couldn't tell me about it really bothers me" I told her. She sighed "listen Jessica, I did because your father promise that if I gave him money he would leave you alone and not harm you in any way  possible. I know I went about it the wrong way ok and I didn't mean to upset you ok. I said I was sorry" she told as tears fled down her cheeks "I know mom ok and I'm also sorry that I didn't give you a chance to explain the situation to me" I said handing her a tissue "and mom, I can handle myself I'm not that little girl anymore" I replied back to her "I know, but you will always be my little girl" she said embracing me into a hug "I love you Jessie" she said "I love you too momma" I replied back.
