Lacey's POV: I stared at the guest room that was now going to be my room. The room wasn't bad, it has a nice closet and bathroom attached to it. Not to mention Jonah's parents were rich and told me that I could pick out something to do with my room. I'm quitting YouTube and deleted my account because it wasn't doing anything for me. There was a knock on the door. "Lace. Ready to go?" Nick asked, he was taking me and Jonah to my old house to pick up my stuff. I nodded following him to the car where Jonah was already waiting for us. We made a deal to just be best friends, well now he was going to be my sibling. Mrs. Jacobs was home for the next week, she wants me to call her mom and call Mr. Jacobs dad but I don't know if I can yet. She treats me like a daughter and promised me that if I needed anything just to ask. Before I knew it. Nick had the car in park in front of my old house. I walked in to see four boxes waiting outside my bedroom with labels on them. Three of them were labeled for clothes and the last one was labeled for makeup and other toiletries that I may need. So then I got started. Loading all of my basketball stuff into one box then the rest of the clothes in the other two, these were huge boxes by the way. My electronics were already at Jonah's. Well my house.

I sat down on the bed and looked around. I opened my laptop and logged onto Twitter. Yes I was stalking Jc. He had posted nothing in the past few days. But I was glad. In next week my last name will no longer be Caylen and I can push Jc right out of my head. There was a knock on the door "Come in." I said and Jonah appeared. "Come on and get ready we have practice in like a half an hour." And with that he shut my door. I scrambled out of my bed and ran towards my closet pulling out a red Nike sports bra with a grey Georgia shirt and black nike shorts.

Jc's POV: I sat on Lacey's old bed, I treated her like shit. Amber wants to have a kid and how am I supposed to be a good dad if I treated my own sister like that? My face was wet with tears and I bed my eyes were red. Honestly at the rate that my feelings are sky rocketing I will probably not stop crying. I don't ever think I can forgive myself after what happened.
Lacey's POV: "See you Saturday." Coach said, then he dismissed us. I wiped my sweat off with the bottom of my shirt then walked to the locker room.
After changing I walked out to meet Matthew and Jonah. "So, what's going on the rest of the day?" I asked, the two boys shrugged then looked at me. "Well, Nick's going to pick us up and take us to Dick's Sporting Goods for new basketball shorts, socks, and shirts." Jonah said. I nodded, "Well he'll let us go home and shower first right?" I said laughing, "Well no duh smart one." Then Nick's car honked and we waved good bye to Matthew. As soon as I got into Nick's car my phone went off.
Jc- let's pretend you have no idea who I am, and that you were never my sister ok?
My heart sank, but I have a new family now and I can't dwell on the past. I have someone who wants me, instead of someone who doesn't. I ignored the text and blocked Jc from my phone in the progress. I blocked him on Instagram, Twitter, and any other social media I had then I stuffed my phone back into my pocket. "Jonah put on a good song." I said, he smirked plugging his phone into the the Aux cord. Then he started to play 'This Could Be Us' by Rae Sremmurd.
After the little shopping spree that mom let us do I was putting all of my stuff in my closet. "Lacey?" Came a voice from my door, I peaked my head out of my closet to see Nick standing in my doorway. "Yes Nick?" I asked, "I'm going out for the night so it will just be Jonah and you. Only one friend each over and if you want to go out and play basketball shut the gates and lock them. Jonah's in the shower right now." He said. I nodded then watched him close the door then went back to doing what I was before he came in and interrupted it. Then my door burst open and in comes Sage. "Hey Sage." I said. "Well hi. Nick invited me over, said you seemed upset so I'm here to make it better." She said, I burst out laughing "Your such a dork." I replied, "Well. At least I'm not a nerd." She said crossing her arms, "Hey! In order to be on the team I have to have amazing grades. It's totally worth it." I said then closed my closet door. "Yeah yeah, basketball this, basketball that. I get it, I get it your important." She said making hand gestures like she shot a basketball. "Well miss sassy you better get you butt downstairs and call the pizza man before I kick it down there." I said, "Rude." She said smiling then walked out leaving my door opened. "Jonah!" I shouted, his door opened and he looked at me, "What?" "Well Nick said one friend. So who is it?" I said, "Matthew." Then his door shut. Of course, I turned my light off and ran downstairs plugging my phone into the speakers and played the song 'How About Now' by Drake. "The pizza man will be here soon." Sage said and plopped herself on the couch. "Matthew's coming over do you wanna play basketball." I asked, she looked at me and shook her head, "Sorry. I don't sport." I started laughing. "Ok baller." I said standing up and walking into the kitchen to grab water. It was going to be a good night.
2 months later
There as a loud knock on my door then the door flew open, "Lacey Jane Jacobs you better get you ass up." Nick said, I groaned, "Why?" I said pulling the covers over my head. "Because mom and dad are going to be home soon." "Fine." I said "Now get out." As soon as I heard the door shut I got out and made my bed. Then I walked to my closet grabbing regular blue skinny jeans and a Chicago Bulls #23 jersey and walked to the bathroom to shower.
After my shower, I got dressed and brushed my hair and teeth, then French braided my hair. I then slipped on my black nike high tops, grabbed my phone and ran downstairs. Just in time too because mom and dad came walking through the door. "And there's Michael Jordan." Nick said. I glared at him and shook my head, "Welcome home you two." I said giving each of them a hug. "Where's Steph Curry?" Nick asked, I shrugged my shoulders and laughed a little, "Lacey honey, I got an email from Jc saying you left some stuff at his house." Mom said, I froze, "I don't want it anymore. Tell him to stop trying to contact me." I said crossing my arms, she nodded then Jonah came walked down the stairs in a blue Golden State Warriors #30 jersey. "And there's Steph Curry." Nick said. Jonah started laughing then said hi to mom and dad. "So we'll be here for the next few days then we'll have to go back to the studio but we will be here for your game." Dad said. My eyes widened and I ran and hugged him. "Yay! We won't disappoint you. It's our last game of the season and we're undefeated able so far." Dad smiled and let go of the hug. And at that moment in time. I felt truly happy.
