Lacey's POV:
Later that night I still laid in my bed trying to think of excuses not to get out of it. Ever. But then I knew I would. I pulled out my phone and the piece of paper Henry gave me.

Me: Hi

Henry💙- You good??

Me: I don't know.

Henry💙- Well, I want you too look in the mirror for me

Me: Ok....... What is this going to help with

Henry💙- Just do it.

Me: Ok

A small tear rolled down my cheek as I walked to my bathroom and turned the lights on.

Henry💙- Ok are you there

Me: Yeah.

Henry💙- I want you to tell yourself your beautiful and that you are wanted and needed on this planet by a lot of people.

At this point I was sobbing. I looked at my reflection in the mirror. "Y-you are beautiful." I said swallowing a lump in my throat, "And your wanted and needed on this planet by a lot of people." I said to myself just like Henry said.

Henry💙- Feeling any better??

Me: a little. Thanks for being my friend when I need you to be.

Then I went and laid down in bed. Falling into a deep sleep and forgetting about the world and my feelings.

I woke up to my blaring alarm. Groaning, I knew it was another day where I had to get up and get started on basketball. I needed to push aside this feeling. I got up and made my bed then walked into the bathroom to shower. After showering I walked to my closet. Grabbed myself a pair of black skinny jeans with a Kobe jersey and got dressed, then I slipped on my black vans and French braided my hair. Then I grabbed my phone and backpack and ran downstairs to eat. When I got downstairs, I sat down at the table and not even a minute later a plate with two eggs, one sausage link, and two hash browns were set in front of me along with an orange juice. Jonah was already waiting by the door on his phone. I finally finished and we got into Nick's Range Rover. Jonah put his phone in the aux cord and put on 'Make Me Proud' By Drake. The bass in the car was my favorite thing about it. Then my favorite part came on, "I know things get hard, but you got, girl you got it, there you go, can't you tell by how they looking at you everywhere you go. Wondering what's on your mind it must be hard to be that fine." I said out loud. Nick laughed and shook his head. He pulled into the parking lot and dropped us off. "Can you hurry up and get your license so you can get your car." I said, he shook his head. "I don't know what car I want. Mom said I could choose as long as she's ok with it. I'm thinking of a mustang but I don't know." He said, I shook my head. "How long do I have to wait until I can actually sit in the front?" "A week and a half." Jonah said. I nodded, "I hope you choose a cool car." Then I walked away from Jonah and walked towards my locker go grab my morning class stuff.

After school

I stuffed the stuff I didn't need into my locker and ran to the locker room. Grabbing my shorts, socks, shirt, and practice jersey and walked to the stall. I changed then quickly French braided my hair then tied my shoes.

I was the first one in the gym. "Why don't you do your warm ups while we wait." Coach said, I nodded and warmed up. As I finished all of the other boys started streaming into the gym. "Alright ladies and Lacey. We are 4 months ahead of schedule so we are going to spend this time in working on team work and moves. Then when the regular season starts you will start having normal practices." Coach Simon said. "Ok now I want you to grab a basketball and start by sitting and dribbling.

"Lacey!" Someone shouted down the hallway. I turned around and saw Henry. "Hey. Uh, I was wondering if we could chill sometime." He said scratching the back of his neck. "Yeah. No problem. Just text me." I said, he nodded then waved. He walked away from me really quickly. I laughed at myself then met up with Jonah who was talking to Matt. "Hey. Who do you like?" I said raising an eyebrow. "W-why." Jonah said looking at me with a raised eyebrow. "Just wondering." I said, "You're ridiculous." He said, shaking his head while grabbing the door handle of Nick's car. "Shut up." I said getting in the car as well. "Ok Jonah, the big test is in a week what have you decided?" Nick said, "I think I'm going with the 2016 302 boss mustang." He said, "What color?" Nick said. "Blue." Jonah said smiling, "Nice." Nick said. The think about mom and dad is they're rich. But they're barely even home so they try to pay it back by 'giving' us anything we want. Which is basically spoiling us. I mean I miss mom and dad. I wish they can home more than one a month. My thoughts were interrupted by the car being stopped and shut off. We were finally at home. "Ok you guys have an hour to do what ever shit you want, then you have to be down in the weight room waiting for me ok?" He said, we nodded then I ran upstairs to my room. As soon as I shut my door my window opened. Sage came climbing through it, "You know we have a door right miss ninja." I said setting my bag down on my bed and opening my closet grabbing a pair of black running shorts and a white loose crop top with a built in sports bra. "Sorry I just needed someone to talk to." She said sitting down on my bed. I nodded sliding my jeans off and putting the running shorts on. Then walking to my bathroom to put deodorant on. "So. Sam is apparently at training right now but I don't know if I necessarily believe him. I thought he trained with you so I came over to check." Sage sad, "So you think Sam's cheating?" I said, Sage nodded. I shook my head, "He trains at a gym Ge. Your fine." I say slipping on my crop top piece. I then put some white nike ankle socks on and slipped on my tennis shoes. "Ok I'm going to leave now." She said the. Climbed back out of the window. I smiled and shook my head then I ran to Jonah's room and peaked my head in. "Hey. It's almost time." I said. He turned around on his spinny desk chair and looked at me. "Yeah let's go." He said.
