Lacey's POV:
I was up practically the whole night, I normally don't sleep on my stomach. Finally I gave up and walked out of the dorm room and outside on the porch. Then my phone buzzed, with out even looking at the called ID I answered. "Hello?" I said, there was a pause. "Lacey its me." I instantly knew the voice. Jc. "I don't want to ever talk to you again!" I said and just as I was about to hang out, he said something "Lacey wait! I'm sorry. I made a huge mistake and I want you back home. I can't deal with this weight in my chest that your going to hate me forever." He blurted out. I was silent. "I don't hate you, I never hated you. I just hate the way you have treated me. But I refuse your offer. I am very happy with where I am. Good night." Then I hung up. Then someone cleared their throat. "Lacey are you ok?" Steph said sitting next to me. I shrugged my shoulders, "I'll be fine." I said looking away. "Lacey. What's going on mentally. When your parents signed you up it said you had a mental disorder." He said, heat rised to my head. "It's not a freaking mental disorder. It's called anxiety! Your make me sound psychotic!" I said, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way. I'm just wondering if your ok mentally." He said. I ignored him looking away. I don't know how I was mentally. The medication is helping with the attacks but not the thoughts. "Good night coach." I said completely ignoring his apology and going back to bed. Finally I found a comfortable position on my stomach and drifted to sleep.

My alarm clock went off, it was weight room day. Yay..... Anyway I got up and did my normal routine. You could see my bruises on my shoulders when I wore a muscle tee. But I'm going to show them I can be treated like one of them. I put on my high top Nikes that are strictly for working out and met Jonah in the hallway. He just looked at me and shook his head but walked out the door holding it open for me. I shut it and followed him to breakfast. It was breakfast buffet today so I just grabbed scrambled eggs, vanilla yogurt with granola, and apple juice. Eating as quickly as I could I finally finished. Leaving Jonah where he was sitting at the table with Jayce I sprinted to my dorm and threw the door open. I had forgotten to take my medication and my chest was already starting to freeze. After swallowing the pills. The feeling didn't go away but it didn't get worse. It just sat there in my chest.

One Month later

We had at least one more weeks left until I go home for the last month of summer before I start sophomore year. We have been undefeated the whole season so far but, we have almost lost a few times. My bruises are now gone but have been replaced, on my shins, from falling and getting back up. The award dinner is in two days and Steph has planned hard training for us by inviting a few of his teammates to come in. "Listen up. I know this may seem a little unfair but pay attention. If you watch us on tv you probably know what to expect. But don't expect to beat us shorties. The ref should be here soon go and stretch." Then he turned on his heels and walked towards his four other teammates that came. Yes. Steph is playing too. The downside is, Steph is also star point guard. "I think we should play zone defense because their really tall and if we double in the back by the block they'll have to take long shots meaning we might actually have a chance to get some rebounds." I said, everyone nodded except Dane. He just rolled his eyes. "Ok let's do starting line up." Jonah said, "Meaning Lacey at point, me at shooting and Jayce, Matt, and Sam you know where you going?" He asked. We got nods them the buzzer went off indicating to start. I mean. I have five days left her. Let's make the most of it. "Ok since a jump ball would seem really unfair because I'm over six feet we'll check it and you'll start." Steph said. I nodded and the red handed Steph the ball. He passed it to me, I passed it back, then the ball was in my hands. I dribble before walking. Trying to pinpoint all of his flaws. Like his half step when he's keeping up with me. I could easily fake and get a round him. So I did, making it around him but he caught up quickly and took the ball.

I sat down on the court. "That game wasn't so bad." Steph said, I snorted, "Yeah. Not for you. 40-179 totally not bad." I said. He laughed and walked over to talk to his buddies or what ever he called them earlier. Jonah sat next to me and I crossed my legs. "So Nick said he's excited to have us back at the house." He said leaning back on his hands, "Me too. I miss home and my friends." I said, he nodded. We had nothing planned for the next few days except a Jersey signing tomorrow for a The Golden State basketball team meaning we get a home jersey signed by each player and the coach. Then the day after that is team party, then award dinner, then we go home. I stood up from the ground and grabbed my bag walking to my room for a hot shower right away. I was ready to go home.
