Lacey's POV:
I walked into the gym to see Sage sitting in the bleachers. I'm guessing Sam was on the team. I waved at her, she gave me a hand motion that meant she wanted me to sit next to her. "Sam's on varsity?" I asked. She nodded, "They're really good. Sometimes at half time they'll call random people in the crowd and have them play against each other." Sage said. The gym was slowly filling up. When it finished the announcer started announcing the teams.

"Welcome to half time guys. I want. That young lady and that young man." I felt Sage elbow me. He was pointing at you. I laughed and walked down to the gym floor. Jonah's gonna be proud. "Ok. First to 21." He said throwing the ball to me. We check it and I end up with it. The boy had to be at least 6 feet. But I was pretty fast. I dribbled towards the block and shot faked making him jump while I switched sides and scored an easy two points. The crowd cheered and I laughed "2-0 so far." He checked it and I got in a defensive position. Shuffling along with him he tried to shoot a three pointer but it hit the rim and I quickly grabbed the rebound dribbling quickly down the court. By now both teams have came out from the locker room and I knew Jonah was smiling. The boy caught up to me but I jump stopped at the three point line and took a jump shot making it clean through the net. Jonah's whistling rang through my ears. Let's just say I won.

The Los Angeles Romans ended up winning with a 30 point lead (68-38). I walked up to Jonah afterwards before he walked down the the locker room and congratulated him on his help winning leading the team with an average of 30 points per game. "Excuse me ma'am." Said a deep voice from behind me. I turned on my heel to face the coach of the team. "What's your name?" He asked, "I'm Lacey Caylen." I said smiling, this is getting awkward pretty fast. "I watched you at half time. I'm offering you a spot on the team. I noticed your a strong shooter." My jaw dropped. Is he kidding. "Well. Practice starts tomorrow at 3 so if your interested see you there." He said smiling then walked away. My jaw was still dropped as I walked back over to Sage. "You look like you just saw a ghost. What's your problem?" She asked. "He offered me a spot on the team." I said slowly making sure it was real. "Oh my god. Your kidding!" Sage exclaimed. "Your basically famous." That comment made me burst out laughing. "Shut up." I said trying to catch my breath from laughing so hard. Finally I saw Jonah and Sam walking towards us. "Your gonna do it right? Your amazing." Jonah said as soon as he walked up to me. "Did you guys seriously discuss this while getting dressed." I said laughing. He nodded and I looked at him, "Yeah. I think I will." I said. Jonah's whole face lit up as he smiled wide. He grabbed my hand and we walked out together. "You make me so happy." He said. I smiled, "You make me happy too." But it wasn't just that. Whenever I saw him I smiled. Whenever I thought of him I smiled. Whenever I was with him I smiled. He's like an obsession that I can't get rid of. He is mine and I'm determined not to let him go. Nick's care pulled up and we got in. "Sup kiddos." He said. I responded with a quiet "Hi.", "She got offered a spot on varsity." Jonah said before I even had a chance to buckle my seatbelt. Jake turned and looked at me. "Your taking that opportunity right?" He said. I laughed and nodded "I like her. You better keep her Jonah." I laughed. The rest of the ride was silent. Nick pulled into my driveway and put the car in park. "I'll see you tomorrow." He said. I gave Jonah a kiss on the cheek then grabbed my backpack walking into the house. "Jc!" I shouted. I heard footsteps and Jc came from upstairs. "What do you need Lace?" He asked, "I got offered a spot on the boys varsity basketball team." I said smiling, Jc rose his eyebrow "You mean girls right?" I shook my head. "Uh. Well get in the car let's go." He said. Why are we leaving?

I walked through the door with new basketball shoes, Nike socks, shorts, and muscle tees for basketball. I didn't want him to spend money on me but he did so here we are. I got black, Galaxy, grey, and white nike socks with black, red, grey, and blue shorts. I felt bad but Jc gave me a long talk in the car about how he supported my decision. I laughed during it. I walked up to my room and out everything away. I also got a basketball bag. Which I stuffed grey shorts, black muscle tee, grey socks, and my shoes in there along with deodorant, a spare brush I had and a package of ponytails. Then I sat at my desk and pulled out my homework and started working on it.

The clock read 11 and I finally finished my homework. As I was going to get up my phone vibrated.

Unknown Number- Hey Lacey, it's Coach Simon. I want you too meet me in the front doors in the morning. I'll show you where you can put your stuff and I'll give you your jersey.

Me: Ok. I'll see you tomorrow.

I put him into my contacts as Coach Simon🏀🏀 changed into some pajamas then turned all the lights off and laid in my bed.
