I was one month into this, and it was just two months ago when it seemed like everything was taken away from me. Just that one time and I was never the same. I looked at my reflection in the mirror before stepping on that scale. 110 pounds. I had lost ten pounds this month. It wasn't enough. It had all started off as just a "little diet", but I just started eating less and less. The less I ate, the more in control I felt.

"Marley, dinner!" my mother called from the kitchen. There was no way I could just eat dinner, but she would catch on. My eyes wandered to the toilet, then at my fingers, then to the mirror. I guess I could always try that. I mean, no harm in trying it, right? I just needed to lose five more pounds, and then I'd be done. Just five more pounds.
