"Josh..."
Sa lamig ng pagkasabi niya pati ata ako na estatwa sa kinatatayuan ko. Josh, too, seemed to be taken aback by his presence.
Oh-kay. I don't know what's going on but I feel the tension in the air.
Josh: K-Kief. Bat kayo magkasama ni Ly?
Kief: Bakit masama ba?
Damn this. I could sense na they are not exactly each other's biggest fan. And judging by the way they are talking, mukhang magkakagulo pag pinatagal ko pa to kaya I decided to step in.
Ly: So... Since you guys already know each other, I guess there's no need for intros. Pano, Kief , una na kami?
Di pa nakakasagot si Kief when Josh spoke up.
Josh: Uh.. Bee, actually. Buti pa kay Kiefer ka nalang magpahatid.
He said it so casually that I glared at him. I know he knew that even if I have moved on, I am still not a fan of being in tight spaces with Kiefer. At least not that much yet. There's something wrong here.
Ly: Ha? Bakit? But you said you were bringing me to school?
Josh: Something came up, bee. I need to be back in school.
I sighed. Hay. Ano nga ba namang panama ko sa school? Studies first.
But before giving up, I dragged him a couple steps away from Kiefer and whispered.
Ly: Seriously Bee, ano na naman ba tong ginagawa mo?
Josh: E di ba yan ang gusto mo? Sige magsama kayo niyang Ravena na yan hanggang sa magsawa ka.
What?! Eto na naman siya.
Ly: Oh gosh, Josh. You're impossible.
Josh: I'm impossible? Anong tawag mo jan sa pagsama sa lalaking yan? No Ly. You're impossible.
We're still whispering but it was evident that we were arguing. Now and then, I look at Kief to seek for any sign of him hearing any of our exchanges. Pero he looked so oblivious to the fact. Tinitingnan niya kami for awhile but then he'd go back to watching the passersby. Parang inip na inip na nga e.
Josh: Know what, just go with Kiefer. Mag-aaway lang tayo nito e. I'll see you later.
Before I could answer back, he already managed to kiss me on my forehead and walk to his car. Pero saglit siyang lumapit kay Kief.
Josh: Pakihatid nalang sa gym si Ly.
Parang nagsukatan pa sila ng tingin bago tumango si Kiefer.
Kief: Sige, pre. Aalagaan ko to.
Josh: Siguraduhin mo lang. Wag kang magbitiw ng salitang di mo naman kayang panindigan.
Oh shit! This is getting out of hand. Josh knows what happened between me and Kief and I think that got stamped into his system. He was so mad then, at parang until now, he still has a personal vendetta against K.
I gently shoved Josh to the direction of his car. Nakakastress. Remind me again not to be near whenever they meet up.
Ly: Sige na, Josh. You have to be in school, di ba?
He smiled at me bago naglakad finally sa kotse niya. Pero bago siya pumasok, he took one last glance at us. The type of glance that could slice through your entire being.
Josh: Tandaan mo to Ravena. Hindi lahat ng gusto mong balikan, makukuha mo.
Kief: Problema mo?
Akmang susugurin na sana ni Kief si Josh when I stopped him. Hay this is harder than I thought. Tangna ako naka move on na pero parang sila, hindi pa.
