Kasalukuyan kaming naglulunch ng teammates ko sa cafeteria. But unlike most meals we share, this was a quiet one. We just came from training and judging from the faces, it's going to be a date with our beds this afternoon. Buti nalang cancelled ang afternoon training.
Busy ang lahat sa pagkain when Ella's phone rang.
Jia: Wow. Lakas naman ng volume, Ate Ells.
Denden: E pano, ang bata bata pa, bingi na!
Ella: Ano yun, Den?
Denden: Sabi ko sa inyo e!
We all laughed. Ella just glared at us and picked her phone up. Tumayo siya and excuse herself to answer the call. We carried on eating.
Denden: Lumelevelup na si Ella. Nag-eexcuse na when she answers a call.
Bea: Bakit? Dati ba hindi?
Denden, Amy and I looked at each other and unanimously said: HINDI!
Which was true. Natawa sila sa amin. Pati nga kami natawa na rin. After awhile bumalik na si Ella sa table.
Ly: Himala besh ha. Nag excuse ka pa to answer that call.
Jho: Ay ate, hindi yan nag excuse to answer that call.
Tiningnan namin si Jho na kakadating lang. We didnt notice her stand up kanina kaya mej na shock kami na she left pala to get herself a fresh bottle of water.
Jho sat down.
Jho: Nag-excuse yan kasi nag order ng extra plate ng calamares at dalawang extra rice.
Ella threw her several folds of tissue as we all laughed.
Ella: Pahamak ka talaga, Jho.
Then she turned to us.
Ella: O, ano tinitingin tingin niyo dyan? Sa gutom ako e! Kung gusto niyo, mag order kayo ng inyo!
Naku ang sungit ni Donya.
Jho: Oorder pa nga ko dapat, Ate Ells, e kaso sabi nung server inubos mo na daw lahat.
Ella: Langya talaga kayo!
Hahahahahahahaha. Ella and her grumpy face. Ang sarap talaga niya asarin. But nevertheless nagpatuloy pa rin siyang kumain as soon as her order arrived.
Nag-asaran lang kami until we finished our plates. Kung saan saan na napupunta ang topic. We hit a lull in the conversation when Ella spoke up..
Ella: Ly, yung kanina, tumawag sakin si Von. Hinahanap ka.
Ly: O? Bakit daw?
Ella: Ewan ko. Sabi niya lang he needs to talk to you.
Oh my gosh!!! A realization hit me! Hindi kaya nasabihan na siya ni Kiefer?! Shoot! Intense to. Wooh.
