Okay, so maybe he isn't exactly Xavier. He had lighter hair than that of Xavier from the video game. And he has a decently sized scar on his neck.
"Am I still in the video game? Damn, Lilia. You sure fooled me. Super realistic," I mumble to myself. I promised her I would finish the game. I'll play along I guess. Time to wait for a decision thing.
"Video game?" the guy questions, breaking me out of my thoughts. Wait, if this were a game, Xavier wouldn't be listening to me, he would be listening to Jordan, and I still have to choose Jordan's speech bubble. Where are the speech options?
"You're real!?" I panic, grabbing one of my precious eggs and throwing it at the man in defense. That egg didn't deserve this. I'm going to hell for unnecessary egg murder.
"Hey! Stop with the eggs! Ouch!" the Xavier lookalike defends. I stop throwing my food and put the bag down before ramming shoulder first into his midsection, taking him down.
"DIE!" I warrior cry as I take him down. I bet I'm heavier than him. Such a sad thought. I need to get on a diet, start using all the vegetable rations on something other than potatoes. I watch the giant fall to the ground with a thud before taking off out of the front door, ready to run to Lilia's to find Cole, who's part of the city military branch. He should be able to do something about trespassing or home invasion.
"Lilia! Cole!" I call loudly as I bang on their door. The area the apartments are located is fairly deserted with only twenty people living throughout the entire building. No one answers and I press my ear against the thin wooden door. No noise. They aren't home. Just when I need you the most.
"Hey! Jerry!" Lilia's angelic voice calls out from behind me. Praise thee for returning just in time.
"Cole! Lilia! Xavier's in my apartment!" I explain, slightly out of breathe. Yeah, I really need to go on that diet.
"Xavier? Game Xavier? He isn't real. Are you feeling alright?" she asks, a concerned look taking over her delicate features.
"There's a man who looks like Xavier in my apartment," I correct, rubbing my shoulder and relaxing. Safety in numbers, right?
"I can check over if you want," Cole suggests, adjusting his dark green jacket adorn with the City Military Force emblem. I nod wildly and he gives me a polite smile before turning around and heading to my residence. Lilia and Cole have been together ever since I can remember. Cole's tall and semi muscular frame contrasted greatly to Lilia's short and willowy figure. Lilia was still breathtakingly pretty with the lightest of brown hair that's usually cut short framing her small face and large light brown doe eyes. Her look was only enhanced by her pale tone. Cole, on the other hand, was tanner and had pitch black eyes paired with hair that was lighter than my own but still darker than that of Lilia. In fact, they had only filed a joint housing request to Central a few months ago, resulting in them living where they do. Lilia and I follow Cole up the stairs and he stops us, telling us to stay here for safety reasons before taking out a baton. He enters my apartment quietly since the door was already open. A few minutes later he pops his head out and rolls his eyes after making eye contact with me.
"No one is here. You're safe to go in," he grins cockily, pushing his baton back into it's holster. Lilia laughs shortly and smiles at me before going back downstairs with her beloved boyfriend.
The Xavier lookalike must have left. Yeah, that's it. I reason with myself as I scratch my head and walk into the small area, rubbing my eyes. Man, today was eventful. I pull of my shoes and shove my feet into my fuzzy house slippers, feeling sleepy as I do so.
"Took you long enough," the creepily familiar voice of lookalike Xavier calls. Goodness, I need a shorter name for this guy.
"What's your name?" I sigh, finally accepting my death. I walk into the kitchen and begin cracking eggs, deciding I want breakfast for dinner before I was murdered. I hope he's a killer who decides to do away with his victims quickly and not hold and torture them.
"Why do you want to know?" He questions in a suspicious manner, leaning back in a wooden chair while I pour some freshly bought milk into the small bowl containing two cracked eggs.
"Would you rather I think of you as Xavier for the remaining twenty minutes I have to live?" I snort unattractively, whisking away at the pale yellow substance in the bowl. Pepper. I need pepper.
"Call me Finn," he shrugs, kicking his dirty shoes up on my coffee table. In a blind fit of rage, I take the fork I was using to whisk and chuck it at Finn, hitting him square in the hair.
"Ouch, what was that for, Jer?" he grumbles, pulling the dirty fork from his head and mumbling to himself as he removed his brown locks. Wait. Removed? I return my gaze to the estrange Finn and see a shock of white hair in place of the brown I had seen moments ago. Is he an alien? That's the only possibility. Or a vampire? Werewolf? Lilia, your video game is giving me hallucinations.
"Brown... White," I stumble over my words, putting the bowl of the egg concoction on the counter and grip the metal tightly, making some sharp and uneven crevasses dig into my palm.
"I need a new wig. You're paying the five dollars for it," he glowers at me, looking at the chunk of hair that he still holds. I look from the fuzzy mass back at his head and repeat the motion a few times before feeling light headed. My brain can't handle this, Lilia.
"Hello? Jerry?" a voice calls, breaking me out of my haze and allowing for me to notice the stinging pain coming from my hands. I curse to myself quietly and open a drawer, pulling out a small first aid kit that I've pretty much used up. I injure myself in the kitchen far too many times for it to be considered normal.
"Look. Kill me now otherwise I won't go down without a fight," I snap, forgetting about eating and sleeping. The cerulean eyes of my murderer stare at me in confusion while I bandage my hand. Hopefully the cuts will scab over by the time my funeral comes and I'm cremated. Spread my ashes over this guy's grave, Lilia.
"Kill you? Why would I do that? You're hiding me, after all," Finn scoffs. My eyes narrow into slits as I glare down the tall male in front of me.
"Hiding you from what?" I chuckle darkly. Is this his way to get me to let my guard down? No, pretty boy. I'm going to fight now. I discreetly grab a knife from the sink and act as if I'm washing it. I hear a loud thud behind my and turn around, shutting my eyes and slashing the knife around wildly. Nothing. I'm hitting nothing. I tear one eye open and then the other, seeing Finn on the ground.
