"UNCLE MARK!" I yell as I drag Xavier down the stairs since he was trying to make that slow, dramatic walk down the stairs they do in movies. Xavier laughs at me and I shoot him a glare, trying to get to my favorite, and only, uncle.

"JORDAN! What are you doing here?" Uncle Mark smile at me as I finally give up on dragging Xavier's arse down the stairs and run down, hugging him. He messes up my hair and I can almost hear Lily cussing him out. Let me explain, Uncle Mark is from my dad's side of the family. Sure, I didn't see my dad after I was very young, but Uncle Mark was always there. Mum found him to be the annoying nusiance and didn't allow him into the house, but that doesn't mean that Uncle Mark abandoned us, nope, he would pick me up from school sometimes and take us out to wherever we'd like. That's back when Tiffany and I were close. Tiffany. A wave of sadness washes over me as Xavier comes to my side and wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me towards him and nuzzling my neck. I swear he acts like a werewolf at times.

"Xavier's my mate," I answer half heartedly. Does he know about Tiffany?

"Where's Tiff, and your mother?" he asks me. So he doesn't know. King Jackson walks in and greets Uncle Mark.

"So you two know each other?" the king asks, looking between Uncle Mark and I.

"This is Uncle Mark, my dad's brother," I answer for him, earning me an apologetic smile. Uncle Mark and the king go off into the dinning room followed by Jenna and Zach. Instead of going along, Xavier keeps me behind and restraits me from going into the dinning room. I give him a confused look as he motions for me to keep quite as he leads me in the opposite direction. He directs me to a room that I haven't seen before, opening the door, gently pushing me into the unlit room before him before shutting the door behind himself. The next thing I know, the cold wall is against my back and his equally cold body is up against mine as his surprisingly warm lips hover over mine. I curiously glance up at his surprisingly dark eyes.

"I really do love you," I whispers, sounding somewhat breathless. What's going on? What brought this on? Instead of waiting for me to respond, he wraps his arm around my waist and hugs me tightly, almost to the point at which I can't breath. I hesitantly bring my arms around his neck to hug him back.

"I-I love you too, what's wrong?" I ask him. He keeps silent and kisses my neck, right over the mark from over a month ago. I tense slightly as a nice cold chill runs through me. He's avoiding the question. I push him away from me slightly and he seems so sad, so very sad, it hurts me.

"What's wrong?" I repeat. He gives me a broken look, one that could make a narcissistic person ask what's wrong.

"I'm sorry," he apologizes repeatedly as he hugs me back to him. What's going on? I hear a scream from the other room, a familiar male one. Uncle Mark.

"What's going on? Why is Uncle Mark screaming?" I panic as I hear Uncle Mark scream louder. I fight to get out of Xavier's death grip and the screaming just stops. The eerie silence fills the room and Xavier's grip loosens. I shoot out of his arms and out of the door, towards the dinning room. Jenna comes out, shutting the door behind herself as Zach tries to get to her. She looks at me and rushes into my arms, sobbing.

"They k-killed him! K-k-killed him!" she sobs, gripping onto me for dear life. I go deaf, I can't hear Jenna's crying, or Xavier calling my name. Uncle Mark can't be dead, why would King Jackson kill him? We got all dressed up for a special guest. Death. It's all catching up to me. The smell of smoke from the dinning room fills my senses and I push past Xavier, who was standing in front of me. Zach must've taken Jenna away. Jenna knew Uncle Mark, no, Jenna knows Uncle Mark. He couldn't have died. He wouldn't have left me. He wouldn't have left us alone, he still thinks Tiffany is here, he wouldn't leave both of us. No, he's alive, this is just a joke. I push open the door and see a few people, including Lily, sweeping up ash from a dark spot on the floor. The smell of smoke sticks to the room as Lily glance up at me with an apologetic look. She knew? I glance around the room, waiting for Uncle Mark to jump out and yell 'gotcha' like he would, but it didn't happen. He's gone. He was like a father. He played a larger role in my life than anyone else. He practically raised me. He scared off all the boys when I first started middle school, hell he even gave me the birds and the bees talk. But he wasn't here. He's gone. Tiffany's gone. Xavier's face blocks my vision of the ashes being swiped up. He doesn't say anything, but instead he gives me a sad look. The sad looks, he knew.

"Why?" I ask weakly, my voice soundly extremely choked up, as if something was lodged in my throat. Uncle Mark was a good guy. Why did they kill him? Why is everyone I care about dying? He doesn't answer me, he just holds me upright. I can't handle this much death. I blink back the water that threatens to drip from my eyes. I'm not going to cry. I'm going to do something somewhat productive. I'm going to give everyone who knew Hell.
