The Vampire's Mate

Chapter 23

I open my eyes in the haze and yawn. I look around and see Xavier sleeping on my hand. My numb hand. I try pulling my hand away but his grip only tightens. Shmuglit.

"Xavier," I whisper as my hand begins to gain feeling. And there are the shots of electricity, dang the mate bond. I wiggle my fingers and Xavier groans as he holds my fingers down.

"Stop moving Jori," he mutters. As soon as he realises what he said he opens his eyes and looks at me before placing kisses on my face. Everywhere.

"Stop with the kisses! Ew ew ew ew," I demand as I scrunch up my face and try pushing Xavier off of me.

"No can do sweet cheeks," he smirks as he continues to torture me. By the time he finally stops, my face is burning. I don't get how this is desirable, it's like a bunch of sparks shooting off everywhere. Very uncomfortable in my opinion.

"Xavier so help me I will make sure you never have children," I grumble as I attempt sitting up. Once that task is over with, I look around the room. It's the same room Jenna and I were in before, when we got turned.

"How do you feel?" Xavier asks in an unusually worried tone.

"Like I just got run over by a train, and lived, but was never found," I lie. I felt fine, but I've been in this room two too many times because of being his mate. Before he can say anything, Jenna, May, Lucy, and Sora pop into the room.

"Girl, you look like shit," Jenna comments as she looks at me.

"Well no chiz charlie," I reply.

"Xavier, out, it's girl time," Lucy ushers as she drags Xavier out of the room by the ear.

"Hey! Ow! She's my mate!" Xavier defends before the door is slammed in his face.

"HIT THE MUSIC!" Lucy yells as May pulls out a boombox. This was unexpected. Wiggle by Jason Derulo starts playing and my friends line up. Oh god, please don't. And they do. Jenna and Sora twerk and Lucy attempts to join them while May sits on the bed with me. I don't even like this song. Or any song of the sorts. I'll stick to Coldplay and The Killers, thank you very much.

"They've finally lost it," she whispers as Sora jumps on Jenna's back and they run around. (a/n this has happened before, the running around part I mean).

"They lost it a long time ago," I respond. I grab an extra pillow and throw it at the boombox. The music stops and Sora falls off of Jenna's back. She jumps up and scowls.

"That's my jam," Jenna says as she goes to play the song again. I pick up a vase and hold it threatening as she stops.

"Turn on that god aweful music again and I will throw this at you," I challenge. She narrows her eyes and starts the music again. I jump out of the bed and charge at her with a pillow in my hand. I'm not mean enough to hit her with a vase.

"AHHHHHHH!" she yells as she runs around the small, crowded room.

"Why is she yelling? Is someone dying?" Zach asks as he barges into the room. Jenna leaps past him and I charge into him. 

"Oomph," he grunts as he falls to the floor. I shrug and jump back to my feet, running after Jenna again.

"Stop running!" May yelps as she gets caught in the chase, behind Jenna and in front of me.

"FISH!" Lucy yells as she joins our running circle. Zach made the decision of not getting up so all of us are running over him.

"PARTY! Whoop whoop!" Sora laughs as she grabs a pillow and joins in the circle.

"What's with- woah," Luke says as he enters the room, but swiftly avoids our train of people.

"Jordan you should-" Xavier says as he enters the room before being tackled by Jenna, who's under May, who's under Lucy, who's under me, and I'm under Sora.

"Hey what's-" Kyou starts before tripping and falling on top of Sora.

"DOG PILE!" Zach yells as he jumps on top of Kyou. I groan under the weight and Luke sits at the top of the mass of people.

"Whee!" Erin cheers as she climbs up to sit on Luke's head. She just appears out of no where at times.

"Can't........... breath," Xavier gasps from beneath everyone. He tilts to the side, causing everyone to tumble to the ground.

"I was going to say that Jordan should rest, but that plan flew out of the window," Xavier mutters as he stands up. I jump up and feel excitement rise in me.

"Bowling! We should go bowling!" I declare as I help everyone up. I look around for Erin and she isn't anywhere to be seen. See what I mean? She just disappears.

"Sure, who's up for it?" Xavier shrugs. Sora, and May raise their hands. 

"We're busy planning some things," Jenna trails off.I shurg and pull out my phone. I have to invite Eliza. That reminds me.

"Hey, what happened to Spencer? Is she ok?" I ask to everyone in general.

"Yeah, she's fine, but she's at the hospital with her mate," Luke informs us. I nod.

"How long was I out?" I ask Xavier.

"A few terrifying hours," he responds before kissing me quickly. Well that wasn't expected. And there are still electric shocks everywhere. Shmuglit.

"And school is cancelled for the next week so they can improve the security system," Lucy adds. I nod and everyone disperces to do their own things. I send a quick text to Eliza asking if she wanted to meet us there. My phone buzzes a moment later with a short 'sure, meet you in ten at the bowling alley near the school'. I look up at Xavier, Sora, and May.

"Why are we standing here and staring at eachother? Let's go you lazy, twerking, bums," I tease as I skip out of the door. This'll be fun.

I feel like crying. I haven't updated in over two weeks. I'm sorry for putting you people through that. Other than that, the answers to your questions will be posted on Wednesday.
