I slowly open my eyes to darkness.
"When is she going to wake up?" I hear a familiar voice ask.
"She should be up within the next ten minutes," another familiar voice informed. I am up. Aren't I?
"This is your entire fault!" I hear someone growl.
"I didn't know that tackling her would make her pass out!" the voice defends. Who is that? I attempt to lift my heavy eyelids. I flick one open and quickly shut them again as the bright light beats down on me. I feel someone hold my hand.
"Turn off the lights!" someone commands. I hear a click and lift up my eye lids. I see Sora and Jenna, my two best friends, towering over me. I feel the grip tighten on my hand and turn to face Xavier. I try to speak but my throat feels like someone poured sand down it.
"W-water," I croak. Sora jumps up and comes back with water. I take small sips until I feel refreshed.
"W-what happened?" I stutter. A guilt look overcomes Sora's face.
"I sort of tackled you from behind," she mumbles.
"And I kind of joined her," Jenna mutter, looking at the ground.
"Ah, that explains a lot," I sigh.
"I'm so sorry," Jenna pleads.
"Why? We always tackle each other," I ask, confused.
"Yeah! But this time, you passed out," Sora intercepts.
"It's not a big deal, what time is it?" I respond, sitting up in the white bed.
"You got hurt! It's already 7:30," Xavier speaks.
"So? I've fallen before, it isn't a big deal," I shrug.
"Remember our motto 'love is a lie'," Sora says, eyeing Xavier cautiously.
"Derp," I respond, getting out of the bed.
"Let's make waffles!" Jenna suggests. Sora and I eagerly nod and dash into the kitchen, using the arrows that are placed around the house. Yes, they need arrows.
"I'll get the Oreos!" I exclaim, rummaging through the pantry.
"I have the whipped cream!" Jenna calls out.
"I have the bowl and whisk!" Sora shouts.
I find the Oreos and run into the kitchen. I start taking the cookie apart from the cream. I throw the cream into one bowl and the cookie into the other. After going through three packs of 24, we have enough. We pulverize the Oreo cookies and add the whipped cream to the cream. I use the wire whisk to blend the cream into the whipped cream. I take the Oreo crumble and blend it into the cream mixture. We grab the waffle iron and pour our batter into it. We make three stacks of waffles before putting away the equipment. I take one stack and grab the left over cream mixture. I pour it onto the top of the stack and pour tiny blueberries on top. I grab a fork and dig into the sugary mountain. I groan as the waffle melts on my tongue. Oreo waffles have to be the best. I glance up as I feel an intense gaze on me. I lock eyes with Xavier.
"Do you want some?" I ask, pointing to the Oreo waffles. He shakes his head.
"Please try it!" I plead, holding out a fork full of sugary goodness. He sighs and takes the spoon from me, slipping it into his mouth. His eyes widen and he goes to take another fork full before I slap his hand away.
"No, my waffles," I grumble, huddling over my baby.
"I want some," Xavier whines, giving me a puppy dog face. Puppy dog faces never work on me, I have little cousins that use them. They will never get my waffles. NEVER!
